After six years serving as Mulberry's creative director, designer Emma Hill is parting ways with the brand.
"Emma Hill has informed the company that she wishes to leave after a very successful period at Mulberry, during which she has built a strong and talented creative team working for her," Mulberry Group said in a statement on Monday morning.

Mena Suvari, Ashley Madekwe, and Emily Mortimer provided the stylish star-studded edge to last night's Mulberry dinner at LA's storied Chateau Marmont. Held to fete the label's latest collection, it seemed more than a little appropriate that the attendees also wear some of the pieces right off the Fall '13 runway. Suvari wrapped up in a black fur-lined Winter waistcoat, but offset the classic choice with a serious pair of flame-embellished pumps. Revenge's Madekwe paired animal-print trousers (from the Pre-Fall lineup) with an off-white peplum blouse, black ankle-strap Monika Chiang pumps, and a small Suffolk bag, while The Newsroom's Mortimer styled a silky emerald top with a black pencil skirt, textured black Willow clutch, and black heels. A darker take on the bounty of the English countryside informed Emma Hill's Fall 2013 collection for Mulberry. Floral prints, like a spray of multicolored flowers on black fabric, bloomed all over the offering, as did variations on the classic English check in multiple sizes. Butterflies, another visual motif, kept the nature theme going, but a dark color palette of oxblood, midnight blue, and emerald provided an interesting tension.
But to keep things from getting too dark, the brand stationed a flower sculpture on the side of its runway and cast Max the dog to model a check coat and another coat in a butterfly print.
Front-row crew Lana Del Rey, Alexa Chung, and Harley Viera Newton have certainly found something to wear — and a luxe new bag to tote — in Mulberry's Fall 2013 lineup. Emma Hill played right to the It Brit's sensibility, melding heritage with a modern, cool-girl interpretation.
