That's a wrap on Coachella 2013, and we're looking back at the very best celebrity style to hit the desert. Alessandra Ambrosio was spotted in a cool bohemian ensemble, including a white crochet top and denim cutoffs, while Jessica Alba did a cool-girl take on a breezy black skirt — with the quintessential festival-perfect embroidered bag in tow — joining the ranks of style setters like Solange Knowles and Kate Bosworth. Coachella weekend two kicks off today, and there's bound to be even more fun festival style to soak in. To get you in the mood, we're highlighting all of the awesome outfits from last weekend's kickoff. While making our rounds on the fairgrounds and at the parties, we spotted some music-loving, party-chic girls in a range of chic printed rompers, bold-hued dresses, and, of course, some of the coolest iterations of cutoff shorts and ankle boots. Suffice to say, you can easily translate some of these amazing outfits into your own Spring and Summer routine — even if you're not planning on heading to a concert. Ready to get the fun started? It's that time of year again: it's music festival season! Coachella's second weekend kicks off on Friday — with Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Lollapalooza, and more to follow. So what's topping our packing list? A standout crossbody bag, tribal wooden necklaces, and a pair of patent boots, to name a few. Watch on as our reporters Matthew Rodrigues and Allison McNamara talk all things music-festival style. On Allison McNamara: BCBG Max Azria jacket and top, Forever 21 skirt.
With SXSW under our belts, we're officially in music festival mode. With Coachella weekend two on the horizon — and since fashion has become almost as prominent as the music at the fairgrounds — we're styling up our bohemian best before we hit the desert. Watch today's episode for outfit inspiration — four ways — then, check out our music festival must haves. Shop the outfit looks below!
The first weekend of Coachella has come and gone, but we are still in love with all the cool outfits we spotted at the festival! Between the pool parties and the concerts, there are many moments to make a fashion statement, and celebrities like Alexa Chung, Kate Bosworth, and Solange Knowles definitely made good use of their time in the desert. Katy Perry went playful in a printed outfit by Dolce & Gabbana, while Alexa went for an LBD to DJ the Lacoste Live party. Diane Kruger —who was joined by Joshua Jackson and designer Jason Wu — styled up a head-to-toe H&M outfit at the first ever H&M Loves Music party at the Merv Griffin Estate. We also spotted Alexander Wang at the Saguaro Desert Weekender presented by Swatch and Revolve Clothing and at the famed A/X Armani Exchange Neon Carnival.

Among Coachella's best-dressed A-list pack, Kate Bosworth certainly ranks high, and it has a lot to do with her day-one look. The blond actress hit the fairgrounds in a scalloped white leather shorts set that not only proved fresh and just a tad bit girlie, but also — thanks to the allover laser-cut perforations — supplied a new way to wear white this Summer. The best part? This outfit comes courtesy of Topshop's not-yet-debuted Festival collection, which promises a 360-degree campaign dedicated to the music, clothes, film, and attitude of the British music festival scene. And who better to test drive the Festival lineup than a bona fide cool girl (that just so happens to have her own ties to Topshop, too)?
We love that she stuck to her signature "less is more" styling approaching, adding only the minimum in festival-going necessities. Her brown shoulder bag, aviator sunglasses, metal-tipped ankle boots, and Jennifer Fisher cuff were the only accessories thrown into the mix. As for actually getting our hands on her Topshop Festival combo, we're counting the days until we hear more about this unreleased collection — stay tuned.
From hamming it up in H&M's Kiss For a Cause photo booth to hanging out at the Armani Exchange neon carnival, to rocking out to the likes of The Black Keys and Snoop, Coachella brought out a slew of style stars hitting the grounds, the concert stages, and the weekend's pool parties last year. We spotted the likes of Kate Bosworth out and about in a tiger-printed t-shirt, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley showing off her own daisy-adorned shorts, and Emma Roberts going sheer. Each sighting supplied the perfect opportunity to also garner a little celebrity styling inspiration with our favorites showing off the standout trends and festival essentials. Click on for our favorite looks from last year before we jump into this year's best.
We're about a week away from Coachella, and if you're headed to the fairgrounds too, let this latest round of celeb outfits inspire your music festival style. We've rounded up the best celebrity looks from Coachellas past — whether it's bohemian romance or an all-American take on classics, Kate Bosworth, Vanessa Hudgens, and Lauren Conrad are just a few who provide the styling fodder. Watch it all here. Plus, don't forget to check out our music festival must haves and styling segment for more ideas! On Allison McNamara: Robert Rodriguez top, Cameo pants.
San Francisco's Outside Lands festival has come and gone, and in its stead, we're left with a three-day mashup of concert-going looks. Unlike Coachella's beat-the-heat style mantra, this weekend's fest served up a cool plate of slightly grungier Woodstock-inspired ensembles, all with an overcast weather twist. Perhaps, this is exactly what we needed, though, as we head into Fall — a real reason to mix and match summery pieces with heavier layers and sturdier footwear. Look to the oversized cardigans, tie-front denim blouses, crop top domination, and ankle boots as a sure indication that even the most music festival-ready outfits have a place in our autumnal wares lineup. Take a look at our 10 favorite Outside Lands style snapshots inside.
The trickiest thing about packing — and dressing — like an Outside Lands pro is taking into account the unpredictable nature of San Francisco's temperamental climes. Although this weekend's festival forecast calls for mild and sunny weather, you can never be too prepared for the early evening fog, overcast skies above Golden Gate Park, and blustery offshore breezes. Thus, we've compiled a foolproof list of concert-ready pieces for your perusal, ranging from a cashmere poncho and a lightweight military-inspired anorak to go-with-everything jeans, vintage soft tees, and one silky floral shiftdress. Plan on wearing cozier layers and form-flattering denim in place of your more polished wares — chances are, you'll be on your feet much of the day, so functionality will certainly play a huge role in this styling equation. It's also worth noting that these transitional items will have a longer lease on closet space. Think of these picks as not only worthy Outside Lands purchases, but solid Fall investments too. Here are the 14 must haves to pack, shop, and live in this weekend and through the autumnal months.
