The collection has been getting a lot of editorial attention and, as WWD notes, the label was recently named second (to Alexander Wang) hottest international brand in a survey by Japanese fashion newspaper Senken-Shimbun. Paired with the recent successful launch of his lower-priced Capsule colletion, Tisci is on a roll at the house of Givenchy.

Best of 2009: The Model of the Year Is . . .

While Aussie Miranda Kerr was your pick, we were truly enchanted with Natalia Vodianova.
Photos of 2009 FabSugar Model of the Year Supermodel Natalia Vodianova

While Aussie Miranda Kerr was your pick, we were truly enchanted with Natalia Vodianova. In '09, the Russian beauty took the fashion world by storm swooping up copious ad campaigns, magazine covers, and runway shows. After all, who can turn down those electric blue eyes and supple pout? Not I. If that weren't enough, Natalia also tried her hand at designing for lingerie and swimwear brand Etam and knit house Lutz & Palmos. All of that while taking care of her cute kiddies and hubby Justin Portman — a Super in the making.

Spills and Thrills at the 2009 British Fashion Awards

Christopher Kane was awarded BFC British Collection of the Year, Kate Moss won the publicly-voted London 25 Award, Peter Pilotto nabbed the Swarovski Emerging Talent Award for Ready-to-wear, and Georgia May Jagger took the BFC Model of the Year award — "Thank you so much to the BFC for picking me. I'd just like to say [fellow nominees] Daisy [Lowe] and Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] are amazing girls and amazing models. Thanks to my mum for being the biggest inspiration."

But the model who really stole the night was Karen Elson, who, when onstage to present Grace Coddington with the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, walked straight into the orchestra pit and fell four feet out of sight.  She emerged minutes later, ”I am the clumsiest person on this earth. I cannot believe I just did that. That is the worst fall I have ever had. I might have broken a rib, but I’m fine.” After presenting, she took to the emergency room to see about her injuries — including a sprained thumb.

They were both decked out in dramatic black ensembles — who's noir look are you feeling more? Fab UK is keeping us updated on the night's big winners, which include Miss Moss. Kate and Victoria share some career highlights, including modeling and designing, though Kate really has her eye on something Posh has already conquered — the music business. Kate brought Jamie to the event while Posh was without David who was tending to family business after their dinner celebrating Victoria's Harper's cover last night.

>> Steven Meisel co-opted the Twitter phenomenon for the last Vogue Italia issue of the decade — December 2009 — and rechristened Twitpic "Meiselpic" for his purposes.  Inside the issue he wrote to his 20 model "followers" under a blurred portrait of himself — surprising, as the photographer is reclusive and does not like to be photographed himself —"Feeling a touch swine flu . . . so not coming to work today. I'm sending you some clothes . . . wear what you like, Meiselpic it back to me. xxSteven."  What comes next — and is featured on the cover — are twenty pages of model self-portraits in the style of Twitpic.  Lara Stone took the below picture of herself and "Twittered" underneath: "I love my new boobs. Werk!!"  A pregnant Gisele snaps herself in lingerie, covering up her bump, and "Tweets": "Privacy is beautiful!" And Freja Beha Erichsen, who's not known to be a Meisel favorite, makes a surprise appearance, as well.

The Fab Faces of Spring '10

With Spring ready-to-wear in the bag, designers are conjuring up their Spring ad campaigns, placing the hottest of the hot with the most stylish shutterbugs.

With Spring ready-to-wear in the bag, designers are conjuring up their Spring ad campaigns, placing the hottest of the hot with the most stylish shutterbugs. Thus far, we know Lara Stone will star in Louis Vuitton's ads, while Daisy Lowe will shine for its swimwear line. In Versace land, Donatella has chosen Fabcon Georgia May Jagger to be photographed by Mario Testino. On the celebrity front, Madonna was snatched up by Dolce & Gabbana — we're hoping she won't look as photoshopped as her previous Louis Vuitton ads.
