This Week's Best Dressed
>> Winter white came out to play this week — much to our pleasure. See who chose the snowy hue — and who chose otherwise — in the slideshow.
Natasha Poly, Joan Smalls Fete Mario Sorrenti's 2012 Pirelli Calendar
>> After the great unveiling yesterday during a press conference, Mario Sorrenti's "unsexy" version of the Pirelli calendar — for 2012 — was celebrated last night at the Park Avenue Armory in New York. Six of the calendar's 12 models were in attendance, joined by Sorrenti's family, Valentino Garavani, Vera Wang, and more.
Versace and H&M Go Big For Collaboration Runway Extravaganza
>> In honor of their upcoming Versace For H&M collaboration — in stores and online Nov. 17 — the two brands pulled together three events in one last night at New York's Pier 57. Through a gilded hall of mirrors, designers (Anna Sui, Joseph Altuzarra, Christopher Kane), supermodels (Linda Evangelista, Helena Christensen), and other such notables (Uma Thurman, Chloe Moretz, Nicki Minaj, Prince) were swept into a dark room framing a serpentine catwalk, on which Versace favorites like Abbey Lee Kershaw, Natasha Poly, Lindsey Wixson, and Daphne Groeneveld wore black leather headscarves, heavy kohl, and stomped to speaker-pumping music.
Cue the next: After her runway bow, Donatella Versace gestured guests to follow her into a green-lit, disco ball-hung room covered in oversized palm tree wallpaper. Minaj took the mic — dressed in Versace for H&M, of course — and inspired Alexander Wang to sing along in the audience to every song. Much to Donatella's pleasure — and Natasha Poly's, who sat on the shoulders of a friend so she could videotape the set on her phone — Prince was up next on stage. Versace fist-pumped when Prince gave her a shout-out, clapped above her head . . . and that was before his encore of "Purple Rain."
Finally, the last of the three-prong event: crowds that had been lining up before Prince even took the stage were unleashed into the shopping area. As Style.com notes, "Many of the women in the crowd made beelines for the collection's men's clothes."

Barneys Is Releasing New Carine Roitfeld-Styled Campaign Images Daily
>> The first of Carine Roitfeld's Fall 2011 campaign images — starring herself and her children — were released earlier this week, and now a couple more have appeared, showing Natasha Poly and '60s supermodel and Avedon muse China Machado. Still forthcoming are Mario Sorrenti-lensed images of Victoire de Castellane, Dasha Zhukova, Noami Campbell, Marie Amelie Sauve, and more.
Barneys plans to release a new "Carine's World" campaign image each day online at The Window until Sept. 2, when the images are unveiled in the store's windows. Also promised in the lead-up: the premiere of the campaign video.
Behind-the-Scenes at the Alberta Ferretti, Ralph Lauren Fall 2011 Campaign Shoots; Plus, Lanvin and Roberto Cavalli Cast Details
>> The Fall 2011 campaign parade continues: Arizona Muse was on set for Alberta Ferretti yesterday, as were Valentina Zeliaeva and Magdalena Frackowiak for Ralph Lauren (left).
Raquel Zimmermann recently confirmed: "I'll be in the Lanvin campaign which was shot by photographer Steven Meisel, but I can not describe how it was, total secrecy until the campaign out!" And Roberto Cavalli is reportedly employing Natasha Poly, Mariacarla Boscono, and Karen Elson to be shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and styled by Panos Yiapanis.
After Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted leaving Coach headquarters recently with Reed Krakoff, meanwhile, rumors have been fanned that the actress might be a new face for either Coach or Krakoff's Coach-funded eponymous label.
Photos from the Ferretti and Ralph Lauren shoots in the gallery.
Natasha Poly Weds Businessman Peter Bakker
>> 2011 is feeling like the year of the wedding, and model weddings are no exception — between Kate Moss and Jamie Hince's impending nuptials in July, Anja Rubik and Sasha Knezevic's upcoming Summer wedding, and Natasha Poly's ceremony this past weekend.
The 25-year-old Poly married businessman Peter Bakker at Saint Tropez's Hotel Byblos as part of a three-day celebration, wearing a traditional white Givenchy gown. About 200 guests attended, including Carine Roitfeld and Peter Dundas, and Leona Lewis sang at the reception.
Watch Inez and Vinoodh's "Girls on Film" Video for Vogue Paris, Featuring Anja Rubik, Natasha Poly, and Isabeli Fontana
>> Vogue Paris had Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin produced a stylized behind-the-scenes video of their October 2010 "The Party" editorial to celebrate the magazine's 90th anniversary and its newly-launched iPad application. Although the Emmanuelle Alt-styled editorial ran last October, the video — which features Isabeli Fontana, Natasha Poly, and Anja Rubik vamping to the Duran Duran song "Girls on Film" — just got uploaded to YouTube a couple of days ago, a fact van Lamsweerde pointed out on Twitter: "Did any of you ever see this video we did in 2010? Count the fashion shoot clichés!more to come.kisses Inez ."
