2010 Vogue Paris Calendar Is Out, All Flashing Lights and Trio of Top Models

>> Vogue Paris's December/January 2010 issue just popped up, and Laetitia Casta is this year's anointed guest editor — in addition being featured on the cover and in an editorial, as photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, she has two further editorials inside by Cedric Buchet and Alasdair McLellan.  But the real attraction is the magazine's annual calendar, which comes as a supplement.

Mario Sorrenti did the honors this time around at the Lido in Paris, and instead of 14 girls going pinup like last year, only three made the cut: Iselin Steiro on the cover, plus Natasha Poly and Raquel Zimmermann who join her inside.

>> Interior Designer to Alexander Wang, Now to the Models? —Last night, Natasha Poly, Victoria Traina, and Alexander Wang teamed up to celebrate the launch of interior designer (an co-owner of Edon Manor boutique) Ryan Korban's signature website at the Soho Grand Hotel. Korban and Wang have been close friends since they went to college together — they collaborate often, on Wang's offices, for one — and Natasha Poly's up next — Korban will be doing an apartment she has yet to buy.  No doubt, he'll have more models than just Poly to add to his client list soon — we counted over 25 showing up to the fete, including Maryna Linchuk, who palled around with Poly, Jessica Stam, Hanne-Gaby Odiele, Mirte Maas, Olga Sherer, Iris Strubegger, and Rose Cordero.  One more tidbit that Poly let fly: she may not be doing the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for the second year in a row — she has to choose between that or a shoot in Morocco. Alexander Wang teamed up with Natasha Poly and Victoria Traina to celebrate the launch of friend Ryan Korban's new interior design website last night at the Soho Grand. Ryan, who memorably gave a tour of his own place to the Selby last year, is upping his presence online and expanding his design profile with projects like decorating Natasha's apartment. Naturally, the bash had a heavy models to mortals ratio — Erin Wasson arrived in a leopard-print fedora and made a bee-line for the man of the evening, while Hanne Gaby Odile mingled with Jessica Stam, Maryna Linchuk and Daiane Conterato. Victoria was joined by sister Vanessa, while Zoe Kravitz toasted Ryan from Alexander's side with a few mini-champagnes.

Let's take a mini escape from Fall and focus on resort. For their Cruise '10 collection, Gucci ditched most of its Fall '09 models but kept Natasha Poly and added Snejana Onopka. The campaign was shot in Barcelona by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott — Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin previously shot Gucci campaigns. Snejana, Natasha, and male model Ryan Kennedy have a sun-filled time while we sit back and gaze in envy. The vacationing trio should be having a blast, but rather, they look quite disconnected from one another. Why so serious? Well, at least they look spotless. What do you think?

In this episode of Girls on Film, we spy Natasha Poly striking a series of kickass, Matrix-like poses in Muse magazine. The Fab Face, decked out in sensual LBDs, printed frocks, leather gloves, and red lips, alludes such smashing appeal. From her broken-down stances to her pouty lips, there's no denying her modeling marvel. This photoshoot makes me wonder if she's playing the role of a runaway mistress, or maybe she's a spy in the middle of an espionage act — exciting! My imagination can go on for days, come to your own conclusions about this cryptic piece.
