I don't usually wear a watch (that's what my iPhone is for), but I might change my tune for the Nooka + Neff Zub ZenV 20 watch ($150). Not only are the colors kinda '80s-retro fab, but it comes with a hint of Japanese flair, too. Something I'm always down for. It's a sporty number, as it was born from a collaboration with sport headwear designer Neff. Check out more images of the watch in the gallery!

Fab Gift Guide: Cool Couz(in)
Ok. What to get for the cool couz(in) who thinks he's the poop and is in the midst of teenage angst. Oh, and you barely know the guy. I say buy him something he can't argue isn't cool. Upon receiving the gift he may just shrug it off and toss it to the side. But secretly, he thinks you're the poop and trusts that you know what's Fab. Here's what.

Nooka Watches: Totally Geeky or Geek Chic?
Nooka watches aren't new, but they are popping up everywhere this season — even in the pages of magazines like Teen Vogue, Bazaar, InStyle and the now defunct Jane. So what's so special about the brightly colored Nooka timepieces? The time is displayed in a vertical fashion from left to right with two bars representing the hours, one for the minutes, and a numeric display for seconds and days of the week. They come in bright colors, as well as more simple silver, black and white models. I find them to be fun, youthful and darn right geek chic.

The High-Tech Nooka Zub 38 Zenv Watch
This watch may not be as intuitive as the Mr. Jones watch, but it is unique in its own right. The unisex Zub 38 Zenv Watch by Nooka is 38mm wide and made out of soft rubber. The time is displayed in a vertical fashion from left to right with two bars representing the hours, one for the minute, and a numeric display for seconds and day of the week. Featured on 7Gadgets, each watch comes fully waterproof with an alarm, chronograph and EL backlight.
Available in black, cinnamon, green, grey, purple, and white for $135.
Tell Time With a Twist

Nooka takes watch design to a whole new level. Rather than just making its watches look cool —after all, there's no shortage of cool watches out there — Nooka is changing the way its customers tell time. The company was founded by designer Matthew Waldman, who in 1997 was staring at a large wall clock and was suddenly struck by how few ways there were to display the time. Since then, he's been reinventing the watch face.
For instance, one of Nooka's newest models, the Zen-H, looks more like a bar graph. The top two bars show the hours, the third bar displays the minutes, and the bottom line ticks off the seconds. You can buy it for $250 here. To check out Nooka's other radical designs, visit its catalog online here.
