Packing Light: 21 Days of Resolutions

We're thrilled to present our favorite Lucky story here on Fab!

We're thrilled to present our favorite Lucky story here on Fab!

Today is my last day of making new resolutions, but (fingers crossed!) not of keeping them! Have you been keeping your promises of self-improvement in 2011? Let me know and I'll be sure to keep you posted on my own progress! Thanks for reading and good luck!

Day 21

Packing for any type of trip — regardless of length — has always been an agonizing process for me. Terrified that I might be without the perfect eyeshadow or shoes for a given occasion, I always overpack to the extreme — only to end up wearing the same pair of jeans my entire stay. This year I am putting an end to unnecessary schlepping of luggage by whittling my packing routine down to the essentials. Here is the (much lighter!) load you will spot me toting next time I travel:

1. Tool Jacquard Weekender, $198, pendleton-usa.com. Not only do I love the rich mix of weathered leather and heavy fabric on this retro-looking bag, but it is the perfect size for a carry-on.

2. Current/Elliott The Cropped Skinny, $213, revolveclothing.com. A slightly cropped skinny jean is the ideal silhouette for travel. The material allows you to wear it a few times without washing and the length works with any type of shoe.

Pendleton Unveils New Line Called The Portland Collection

We have a little thing for Native American prints and have long obsessed over Oregon heritage brand Pendleton's collaboration with Opening Ceremony.

We have a little thing for Native American prints and have long obsessed over Oregon heritage brand Pendleton's collaboration with Opening Ceremony. After 121 years in the business, Pendleton is taking its archive of textiles and prints and doing its own contemporary line called The Portland Collection, which launches this Fall/Winter '11. There are sweaters, dresses, weekend bags, and even an oversized blanket for cuddling with your honey. What do you think?
