Emma Watson Debuts Her Chic Organic Line For People Tree
There are many fashion layers to the fabulous Emma Watson. Of course, we love her as the face of Burberry, but we also enjoy seeing her eco-conscious side. Since we first announced her collaboration with organic line People Tree, we couldn't wait to see what the British beauty would come up with. Well, the wait is over, and we're officially smitten with her cute collection — modeled by the designer herself — of skinny jeans, striped tops, chic shorts, and flirty frocks. I love the timeless hues of red, gray, white, and blue, and the casual yet refined silhouettes. I can totally see myself rockin' these organic looks, can you?

Chat With Emma Watson About Fair Trade Fashion!
While she was also serving as Burberry's beloved muse, Emma Watson hooked up with People Tree to design a 100 percent organic and fair trade cotton capsule collection. Two looks have been released and they look promising! But beyond the fashion, Emma wants to hear your questions about fair trade. Curious why she's so passionate about it? Why she chose People Tree? What fair trade fashion even means? All you have to do is film yourself asking her your question, then email the MPEG to askemma@peopletree.co.uk. Get more info here.
Emma Watson to Design a Charitable Line
There were rumors circling in June that Emma Watson was to become a charitable fashion designer for UNICEF. Sadly those rumors were shot down, but it appears they weren't too far off-the-mark. Announced today, Emma Watson will be creating a capsule collection for People Tree, which will launch in February 2010.
Emma says of the collaboration: "I wanted to help People Tree produce a younger range because I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to alleviate poverty and knew it was something I could help make a difference with."
As for the line, it will consist of jersey t-shirts, dresses, woven skirts, trousers, shorts, and knitwear for both men and women. The collection will also include embroidered bed throws (are you listening Casa?), amongst other accessories. All of the products will use 100 percent organic and fair-trade cotton and will be made entirely by hand by fair-trade artisans.
It sounds like beyond a pretty face, Emma's got a good head on her shoulders. Are you excited to see Emma's designs?
