Gap Is Making Those Awesome Fall Boots, After All

>> Last week, due to a miscommunication (mea culpa), we reported that Gap was not producing the platform boots at left.

>> Last week, due to a miscommunication (mea culpa), we reported that Gap was not producing the platform boots at left. Turns out that the retailer is, in fact, selling the boots (which are part of Gap's main line, not a Pierre Hardy design for the retailer)  — and the black Pierre Hardy for Gap wedges — in select stores in New York, Chicago, and Houston, starting on Monday, Oct. 25, and in Los Angeles and San Francisco starting on Thursday, Oct. 28, according to a new press release. Both will retail for $195. As for our personal favorites, the platform bootie version of the boots at left, and the other wedge booties (which can both be seen here and are also part of Gap's main line), no set launch date or price point has been released, but they will hit stores — in December.

Pierre Hardy for Gap Fall 2010 In Stores Next Week

>> We've got some good news and some bad news.

>> We've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that Pierre Hardy's latest creation for Gap — the black wedge, at left — hits Gap stores and online next Tuesday, Oct. 19, and will retail for $195. The bad news? It sounds like the other three Fall 2010 styles Hardy created for the retailer — which were way cool — didn't make it to production, meaning they won't be available at all. [Style File]

UPDATE: Turns out the shoes are being produced after all, and the launch date has been moved back — all new intel here.

Sneak Peek! Pierre Hardy For Gap Shoes

In a collaboration that will make you swoon, Pierre Hardy delivers more goodies for Gap shoppers.
Pierre Hardy Shoes For Gap

In a collaboration that will make you swoon, Pierre Hardy delivers more goodies for Gap shoppers. Hardy's Summer '10 shoes for Gap are girlie, fresh, and totally of-the-moment. He capitalizes on this season's wearable platform wedge and delivers practical flat lace-ups in denim. I'm obsessed with the nude-tone wedges that I'd pull on with everything I own — but you could do that with any of these easy pairs. They're all priced between $65 and $110 and hit stores and online May 10.
