Power Couple

I never tire of seeing photos of Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady at this year's Costume Institute Gala. Can you blame me? She looks insanely sexy in that Versace number and Tom is her hottie man-cessory.

They look immaculate dressed up, but Gisele and Tom prefer to be cas(ual) when holding hands and trekking the streets of New York and LA. Tom's style is a mix of sporty and preppy, while Gisele tends to keep her ensembles rough. Still, they complement one another via dark color combinations. It's highly unlikely you'll ever see them in brights — brown, navy, gray, and black are the pair's favorite colors. But really, when you're that beautiful, who needs loud clothes?

You know that when Chris Brown performs his song "Kiss Kiss," he's probably thinking about his hot tamale girlfriend Rihanna. Although these two stylish hip-hop lovebirds haven't formally announced their relationship, the proof is in the pictures. They are fairly young — Chris is 19, Rihanna is 20 — but have been going strong for some time now.

Seeing them cuddle in a club and kiss in a pool is exciting, but that's not what draws me in. I am intrigued by their no-holds-barred fashion sense. Between the two of them, there's so much funkiness going on. In particular, I love that they have maintained their unique sense of style. Most of us wouldn't change our style for a man and that goes for the eclectic Rihanna as well. Chris also stays true to his signature look: baggy jeans, colorful Nike sneakers, and bright hats. Plus, the way I see it, a couple that shops together, stays together!

I know some of you are still sobbing over the split, but times have changed and so have Hollywood couples. There's no doubt that Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are smitten with one another so it's due time we celebrate this Fab couple.

Together for roughly a year, Reese and Jake have caused a media frenzy with their budding romance. They're not the most fashionable couple, still, we have to admire how Jake's laid back attitude complements Reese's preppy pep. While Jake plays casual in tees, sweaters, and the occasional plaid shirt thrown into the mix; Reese keeps him from looking sloppy in her perfectly prim ensembles. The busy mother of two usually struts in cardigans, crisp jeans, and pretty frocks but don't be fooled by her conservative style — she still looks hot in a bikini. As always with celebrities, sleek sunnies finish off the lovebirds' look. Heck, they even look cute together in workout clothes!

Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis — they're delicious as a pairing of salt and caramel. So they're not trendy, but they've been together longer than most of our other power couples; 10 years to be exact. It helps that the duo stays out of the spotlight splitting their time between LA and the South of France.

On his own, Johnny is a style icon, known for his eclectic fashion choices. Now, add to that an amazingly gorgeous and equally quirky French singer and actress, and it's double the fabulousness.

Since hooking up in 1998, one thing has always remained: without fail, they each dress to please no one but themselves. And while most couples' styles and personalities complement one another, it's almost like Vanessa is a girl version of Johnny in every way . . . talk about finding your soul mate!

Beyonce and Jay-Z have officially tied the knot and we couldn't be happier for them! Dating since 2003, the Bonnie and Clyde duo have stylishly risen to the top of their careers together and show no signs of slowing down.

The Grammy winning R&B songstress Beyonce is known for her fierce and bold sense of style. Her unique and daring looks sparked her own successful fashion line named House of Dereon, with mother Tina Knowles. Music mogul Jay-Z keeps his look suave and dapper for his leading lady with tailored suits at night and designer jeans for day.

Fabulous on and off the red carpet, the happy, jet-setting couple are always looking sharp and we look forward to seeing more of the young newlyweds!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt — we don't call them Brangelina here — aren't the most inconspicuous Power Couple, and they've sure become a force to be reckoned with since they hooked up in 2004.

They certainly didn't need one another to become famous, but ever since their union after co-starring in Mr. and Mrs. Smith and posing as a married couple in Steven Meisel's W Magazine Domestic Bliss spread, they've been unstoppable.

What I admire about this couple is their ability to channel old Hollywood glamor so effortlessly. Brad reminds me of a young Robert Redford and Angie can easily embody any sex-pot actress, say Brigitte Bardot. Of course, I'll never forget Angie's less-classy fashion choices, but with the power of Brad behind her, she's transformed into a sophisticated woman, a sensitive mother, and poised actress. She sometimes dresses overly mature — hello, she's a St. John model — but I'll take that over goth any day. I'll bet Brad would agree.

For those who question this power couple's compatibility I believe I just painted the picture perfect couple. Throw a fifteen year age difference in, and it's a match made in Hollywood.

What I enjoy the most about Ashton and Demi is their individuality. They have been married since 2005 and though he joined her religion, he has maintained his goofy guy image. She is always polished and, damn, I can't believe she is 44! She looks fantastic. But while she prefers to wear Lanvin and YSL, Ashton does his own thing, bandanas and all.

For womankind, Demi has proven that older women can date — er, marry — younger men. Taboo? Not in the land of Fab.

These lovebirds married on May 10, 2005, on a beach in Mexico. They have had two children together, both sons: Henry and Johan. While they both continue their careers, they manage to find time to spend together and with the fam. When I look at pictures of this power couple, they seem very affectionate, very in love — it's really sweet. But let's talk about why they're here: they have great style, especially when together and gussied up for special events.

Heidi has one of the best bodies in the world and she also has a chipper disposition. She seems to be an all around Fab gal. Seal I'll admit I don't pay as much attention too — he's not the host of Project Runway after all. But I always like to admire them and their sharp style, so join me in the admiration.
