Instead of replacing those tired black heels at the back of your closet, we're updating them with a little inspiration from Prada. In today's DIY, Fashion Reporter Allison McNamara is teaching you how to create your very own pair of beaded, designer-inspired heels. Just watch to see how it's done! Miranda Kerr and Jennifer Lopez Give Us Leopard Print to Wear Day or Night
They might have been on opposite coasts, but Miranda Kerr and Jennifer Lopez were clearly on the same style wavelength when they both sported leopard on the same day. Miranda tucked a sheer leopard button-down by Equipment into skinny Nobody jeans, then finished with ballet flats, a Givenchy bag, and cat-eye Prada shades while catching a flight out of LAX, and Jennifer rocked an A.L.C. leopard jacket with a matching skirt and Christian Louboutin over-the-knee boots during promotions for her new movie, Parker, in NYC. We think both looks would work for the weekend, but we envision Miranda's for daytime brunch and Jennifer's for nighttime fun. Get a closer look at both ensembles, then shop similar — and a couple exact — pieces to sass up your weekend wardrobe.
Wear Miranda Kerr's Leopard Cardigan at the Airport (and Beyond)
Miranda Kerr arrived at LAX airport to catch a flight out to NYC wearing a blue and white leopard cardigan by A.L.C. This isn't the first time she's picked animal print for her travels — if you recall, she also sported another A.L.C. leopard sweater back in December. The model then completed her airport style with black leather Helmut Lang leggings ($920), a scooped white tee, her trusty black leather Givenchy satchel ($2,405), Prada cat-eye sunglasses, and Isabel Marant sneakers. Whether or not you're traveling these days, mimic Miranda's latest outfit by pairing a leopard cardigan — shop similar styles on ShopStyle — with leather pants, a basic tee, and high-top sneakers. Cat-eye shades and a Givenchy tote are optional (but they'll really help you nail Miranda's edgy-cum-sporty style).

Jessica Chastain Ditches Khaki For a Purple Trench Coat
Jessica Chastain was spotted out and about in NYC, but instead of wearing the standard khaki trench coat, she chose a gorgeous purple one by Burberry. Underneath it, she sported black skinny high-waisted jeans and a sheer black tee. For accessories, the actress chose a brown Alexander McQueen bag — shop the black version ($2,259) — as well as Prada flower pumps and oversize vintage-inspired sunglasses. To mimic Jessica's latest outfit, look for a similar purple trench that will keep you warm and make you stand out from the crowd of khaki and black trench coats.

Psychedelic Hedonism: The Trippiest Fashion Videos of the Year

br>
Fashion films often take the form of fawning moving portraits in which beautiful models languish on balmy beaches or in well-appointed mansions, but this year's best stand out for being much more than that. Below, a countdown of the trippiest, most thought-provoking videos we saw in 2012.

5. Prada's Real Fantasies Spring 2012
br>
It should have been clear early on that there was something in the water when this video, which juxtaposes new images against visuals from the '50s and '60s — the decades that inspired Prada's Spring 2012 collection — debuted in April.

4. Prabal Gurung's Spring 2012 Campaign Video
There are only two subjects in this video: an orchid and Candice Swanepoel. A quick pace is set by unrelenting jump cuts between the flower and Swanepoel's lovely face. The soundtrack of a drum mimicking the human heartbeat makes the video even more haunting.

3. Alexander McQueen's Fall 2012 Campaign Video
If David Sims's almost luridly neon Fall 2012 campaign for Alexander McQueen wasn't colorful enough, his video certainly is. It primarily features a loop of model Suvi Koponen taking the oversize visors from the collection off of her face, accented by dancing geometric neon shapes and clouds of pixelated pigment that explode all over the screen.

2. Prada's Real Fantasies Fall 2012
Attempts to explain what's happening in this video are probably best left to the people who created it. From the official description: "Set within a dystopian society of machines and jagged geometries, genetically perfected clones roam digital colonies. Each scene depicts an antiquated landscape within a galaxy of characters engrossed in oblique and possibly deviant power dynamics."

1. Proenza Schouler's Desert Tide
Jack McCollough's sister Kate worked as the creative director for this film, which was created with the virtual world Second Life. Everything in it — from the models who levitate while doing a peculiar dance, to the purple dolphin that swims through sand — is CGI.

Kourtney Kardashian Colorblocks in a Coral Top & Green Peplum Skirt
Kourtney Kardashian was spotted in Miami looking prim and polished in a colorblock ensemble that is perfect for work or play. She tucked a pleated-sleeve coral top into an olive green Ani Lee peplum skirt, then accentuated her fit frame with a wide black leather belt. Kourtney finished off her look with scrolled Prada sunglasses ($290), black platform heels, and a covetable python Céline tote. We love the idea of adapting Kourtney's chic warm-weather look for the office by pairing a coral jacket with a green peplum skirt, classic black heels, and a sophisticated satchel.

All the Resort 2013 Ad Campaigns, So Far
After presenting the Resort 2013 collection at Versailles, it's only fitting that Chanel should expand on the theme with an ad campaign that channels the chateau's most famous resident: Marie Antoinette. Dressed in decadent layers of ruffled pastels and styled with the requisite courtesan makeup and big hair, Cara Delevingne plays the ill-fated queen with plenty of pomp and sass — and we think it all comes together quite nicely. Click through to see the entire Karl Lagerfeld-lensed campaign, plus all the recently released Resort ads — including Miu Miu's supermodel-packed outing — here, in our ever-growing campaign gallery.

Miranda Kerr Pairs Her Quilted Jacket With a Floral Prada Tote
Miranda Kerr swapped yesterday's polished pairing for an edgier ensemble while toting her son, Flynn, around NYC. The model layered a quilted Balenciaga leather jacket over a black top and Nobody skinny jeans, then slipped on a pair of badass Tabitha Simmons lace-up leather ankle boots for extra sass. The gorgeous mom completed her street style with a pair of Flint shades, a few dainty rings, and a floral Prada tote for a touch of feminine flair. If you love Miranda's latest NYC look as much as we do, shop similar pieces below.

Miranda Kerr's Flashy Add-Ons: Leopard Loafers and Gold Shades
If you're on the hunt for an ensemble that transitions from a casual day at work to dinner and drinks, then look no further than Miranda Kerr's latest NYC look. The model worked true-blue Nobody denim ($291) and a black, sheer-sleeved blouse with tasseled leopard Prada loafers and her trusty leather Givenchy bag ($2,405). Her gold glitter Miu Miu shades ($390) lent a touch of sparkle, while her mixed-metal jewels, slick topknot, and punchy pink lipstick were the icing on her chic street style.
