This Chinese New Year celebrates the Year of the Snake, which is a perfect excuse for incorporating all things snake and snakeskin into your home decor. Snakeskin is surprisingly neutral and lends itself to many types of decor — so no excuses! Start small with frames or a throw pillow, and discover the statement this bold pattern can make. Happy New Year!
Based on the major sale happening, it appears M Z Wallace is looking to clean up shop. And who can blame them for wanting to do a little Summer cleaning? I'll certainly reap the benefits! If you remember, last August I was breaking in my new M Z, and I'm itching to add another to my collection. This year, I've got my eye on the snake print Ella ($148, originally $295). Cute, but sssssassy.
Lindsay Lohan's got a brand new bag! This is the second time I've spotted her walking around with a gorgeously metallic python purse and I have been itching to know who it's by. I discovered it's Pauric Sweeney's Python Shoulder Bag and it's currently on sale from $2,860 to $1,916. On its own, metallic can be overwhelmingly shiny, but the brown leather straps temper it and lend some much-needed contrast.
Daring for sure, these Miu Miu Python Cut Out Boots ($4,300) look as treacherous as a snake: the high heel, the fish-scaled cut-out detailing. The jury's out on whether they'd be flattering. Are they too eccentric for you?
Some look books just don't do fashion justice. When we saw these Fratelli Rossetti Python Open Pumps in Geranium, we were literally unable to concentrate on the preview of the company's Fall collection (the woman who was wearing this gift to fashion was the one showing us around). This sounds silly to say but the color, hard to pick up on in the picture, is truly Geranium. That is, it's red with a slightly coral or orange tint. The woman whom we saw in these heels was wearing a slim black suit and damn if that wasn't the eff-ing right choice. She looked, well, unbelievable. This, indeed, is where the eternal 'look for less' issue comes into play. Without the uncommon color, the real pythonskin, and the craftsmanship of a decades-old Italian shoe company--what are we left with? We're left with blisters and lipstick-red heels that make us look like our outfit is an homage to the movie Pretty Woman. Oh yeah, and the other color option, Cedar, is right on target with Spring's acid green trend.

The warm weather has finally arrived and I'm itching to go shopping for some new clothes! Spring shopping is serious business and I must be dressed in a full-proof outfit that will endure hanger snags, elbows, and aching feet.
I'll start you off with this Loeffler Randall Snake Print Sandal ($380) because I love the snake skin print and the flat heel will keep my dogs from barking.

Many may have the Midas touch, but shoe designer Brian Atwood has the sexy touch . . . and as far as I'm concerned, that's more priceless.
Atwood is now bringing his magic to Bally's women's footwear. The way he sees it, he's providing "fresher, easy luxury." He dug deep into the 157-year-old Bally archives for inspiration. The Spring/Summer collection incorporates metal-framed heels and platforms from the '40s. I'd love to scoop up all of his sexy creations.

Colorful flats give a perfect pop of color to any outfit. I fell in love with these Giuseppe Zanotti Printed Python Flats ($395), and got them! The bright color and python texture is perfection and will give whatever I have on an extra kick. However, I'm still paying for that price tag. Lucky for you guys, I found its long, lost, twin sister elsewhere.

How I Met Your Mother actress Alyson Hannigan celebrated the return of her show with an early St. Patrick's Day party. Though there's no green in sight yet, there is teal — her B. Romanek python clutch. As always, she looks graceful in her Vena Cava keyhole dress. Her slingback peep-toe pumps are pretty, but I gave her a chunkier shoe to balance out the feminine dress.
While everybody else showed up to the In Style Magazine and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Toronto International Film Festival Party in their best duds, Jessica Alba came in jeans and a t-shirt. The actress is super hip in her Rolling Stones tee and leather jacket. True, the rocker look has been killed to death in Hollywood, but Jessica looks surprisingly fresh. I think she's found her forte - edgy-cum-girly!
