Thanks to H&M, we're heading to the Coachella music fest tonight to check out some amazing bands and faboo fashions. The three-day festivities will be held in Indio, CA, so it's going to be hot and dusty. I asked you to create the perfect music festival 'fit. If you want an up close and personal look at what is going to be hot in handbags for Spring 2009 then Sole Commerce, Coterie's sister at the Javitt's Center, is a great place to start. LAI, Badgley Mischka, Rafe, Lauren Merkin, and Dusica and Dusica were some of our favorites. Jewel tones, exotics, patents and hardware all clearly remain big sellers but our personal favorites were the nudes at Dusica and Dusica!
Bag fiends, listen up. Luna Boston's sale section is stuffed with purses, from metallics to patents, evening bags to oversize styles.

All this time I've been trying to focus on acquiring classic handbags for my collection. But after visiting the bag bazaar I am drawn to the colors, prints and funkiness of the newest crop of bags. I still think having an everyday Prada or a coveted Chanel is a Fab idea, but so is mixing it up with an interesting tote that causes your pupils to dilate upon first look. With all the fresh options for Spring, get lost at the bag bazaar.
Colorblock is no new kid on the block. Don't get me wrong — I'm not dissing the geometric pattern, but I am happy to see the boldness translate onto accessories. This is a heaven sent for those with a closet full of LBDs — throw on a colorblock accessory and your look is far from ordinary. The power of colorblock is in your hands, and feet.
The Lucky Shops event over the weekend brought out a limited edition, anthracite snakeskin clutch, wallet, and card case by Rafe. The designer partnered with Chevrolet (yes, the car company) to create the three-piece collection in honor of the new Chevy Malibu.

I bet you Kate Hudson's character in Almost Famous, Penny Lane, had a favorite style handbag. And I bet you it was the hippie classic hobo. While the hobo has a reputation for being the stoner of handbags, there is no denying the slouchy, laid-back shape is groovy, man. Enter hobo redux...meet some modern day hobos.
So Balenciaga's intense tank shoe may have been a bit dramatic for some of you, but nonetheless it gave us a glimpse into the new must have metallic: coppertone. I'm pretty stoked about this because I bought my first pair of Christian Dior sandals that were from their Resort collection and they are bronze. I can't wait to whip them out, but my feet need some color first. Here are some bronzed items to get you in the mood for summer:

I've always avoided the small leather goods known as wristlets because of the somewhat silly name. But I finally road-tested (or, should I say, club-tested) one of these wallets-plus-wrist-strap during my Friday night out with the girls. Now I understand the wonders of these accessories, which are sort of like utilitarian and harder-to-lose clutches. You can hang the wallet from your wrist when you're out on the town, then just toss it in your purse for everyday use. Here are some of my favorite finds at designer and non-designer prices.
