One of the key takeaways from Gucci's Fall folklore collection is wearing a fringe scarf as a belt. Model Elle Macpherson is already all over the trend in her all-black ensemble, topped with a bronze scarf-belt and layered gold-circle necklaces. While Gucci's version is far more busy and dramatic, Elle's translation is simple to perfection. You should give it a try. The goal is to look pirate chic, with an emphasis on chic. Arrr!
Trend Alert: Spread Your Wings
The Dark Knight has stylishly swept Hilary Duff off her feet, and if you're feeling her look, join in the action and spread your wings Batman-style. Batwing cuts are the perfect transition piece for dwindling Summer months, and when worn in dark colors with booties — a la Hilary Duff — give you a fun, witchy vibe.
Cheap & Chic: The Power of Hot Pink
Hot pink is on fire these days. From Mary-Kate Olsen's belt to me at LA Fashion Week to Nicky Hilton's full-fledged obsession with the hue, it's practically everywhere you turn. Of course, it helps that it's traceable from miles away.
Anne Hathaway adopted the trend by sporting bright pink sunnies on the set of her new movie, Bride Wars. Like Anne, limit the hot pink items in your outfit to one, two at most. It's with great joy that I spread a little loud color in your lives. If hot pink is too girlie for you, try neon yellow or green. The neon possibilities are endless.
Celebrity Style: Lindsay Lohan
Yes, Lindsay Lohan has made far too many fashion mistakes lately, and life mistakes, but I must give credit where credit is due. While shopping in Rome, she looks fashion forward and sophisticated in her brown fur jacket and sleek black platform boots. If it were up to me, I'd ditch the shiny leggings, but I'll overlook it this time since the rest of her look is so slick. Who knows, maybe 2008 will bring out a more chic (and sober) LL!

Celebrity Style: Mandy Moore
Always the lady, Mandy Moore looked quite put-together yesterday for a stop by the local Barnes and Noble. I love how cozy the Lim cardigan looks, and the patent accessories gave the ensemble just a pinch of glam. Casual, cute but still chic — brava!

Celebrity Style: Kate Bosworth
Kate Bosworth looks very Proenza as she heads out from Sur restaurant on Robertson Blvd. I gotta say, I like her because she consistently looks good. She never takes my breath away but she also doesn't make me cringe. I adore her Chloe Heloise bag and how she spiced up a simple strapless dress with a white tank!
Comfy & Cute Travel Clothes!
I was just on a European adventure and one of the customs officers actually complimented my passport and how many stamps I have - yay! So I think it's safe to say I am an experienced traveler - maybe even a jetsetter? I know that some of you dress up when traveling, and some of you don't, but I try to find a happy medium. I must be comfortable, but you know me: I must be chic. I always feel that even though I don't travel First Class, I like to still dress the part.
When traveling to your romantic honeymoon destination, my fantasy is a trip to Tahiti with George Clooney, you'll want to look extra adorable for your new hubbie. Here are some comfy & cute travel clothes that will prove wearable on the rest of your trip...you can save your sexy lingerie for when you finally arrive at your destination!
P.S. You will notice I included leggings in my picks. Now I'm not a fan of leggings but traveling is the one case where I think they are extremely functional & fashionable!
Trend Alert: Puffer Sleeves
Almost as cute as a puffer fish, puffer sleeves are an easy way to embrace this season's romantic trend. Found on both dresses and tops, volume has spread to the sleeve and how adorable it is. I'd watch out for these if you have broad shoulders and maybe go for the longer puffer sleeve styles; and remember to go slim on bottom as to not over-volumize. Puff away!
