Thankfully, some of our favorite designers were more than happy to play Santa for us. When we asked tastemakers including Zoe, Minkoff, and Roy to reveal everything from this year's It gift to what's on their wish list, the gift was all ours!
Pantone may have selected Radiant Orchid as 2014's Color of the Year, but right now designers are dreaming about a whole different rainbow of hues. That's because when we asked tastemakers like Jennifer Fisher, Jonathan Adler, and Misha Nonoo to pick the color of the holiday season, they came up with a festive list of rich and seasonal tones. Next year may be all about purple, but we suggest you do your holiday dressing (and shopping!) from another color spectrum.
The piece: Rebecca Minkoff Sagittarius Zodiac Necklace
The price: $78
Why we want it: The fact that we'll never have to listen to some guy drop the line, "What's your sign?" ever again is just one of the reasons we're totally smitten with this necklace. The others? Well, if you happen to be a Sag, then you already know that this time of year, it's all about you — what better way to show it? If you're not, well, at the very least we're betting you know someone who would love this — and et voilà! — we just found the perfect gift. (Or shop for a necklace sporting your own sign – Minkoff's got them all.)
Why is something this basic so tricky to style? The sweater dress is so slouchy and easy, we either overcomplicate how to wear it or we veer on the side of too easy. The trick is finding the balance and adding interest, because quite frankly, sweater dresses aren't totally interesting on their own. Instead, play with the proportion by adding knee-high boots, and add a more definitive silhouette with a structured jacket, coat, or blazer. And, if your sweater dress is oversize, go one step further and cinch the waist with a belt to define your curves. As for the rest, don't go crazy — just finish it off with your favorite Winter accessories, like a printed scarf, cozy beanie, and sophisticated tote. We've done the work — just shop the outfit to pull it together on your own.

Goodbye, Lincoln Center — hello, Hudson Yards. With Michael Bloomberg's announcement at FGI's Night of Stars that the Culture Shed will be "the future home of New York Fashion Week," months of speculation became official.
But just because the location's locked in doesn't mean the name is, right? We had to find out what the designers who will be showing at the new facility thought of the "Culture Shed" moniker — and did you honestly expect this group not to have a strong opinion? While some, like Rebecca Taylor, gave their seal of approval – "I honestly kind of like the name," she says, "From the renderings it looks like such a massive, architecturally modern space, so I think the name is kind of playful and fun" — others, including Rebecca Minkoff, Misha Nonoo, and Charlotte Ronson, had other ideas in mind. See their answers (and get a peek at the Culture Shed) below!
You've seen Fashion Week, but you haven't really experienced the spectacle if you've excluded one of your five senses: sound. Throughout the days, our editors have been bopping in their seats to playlists that could rival the best concerts — which was exactly what Rebecca Minkoff's show turned into when Janelle Monáe took the stage. And since the tunes at shows, including Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, DVF, and J. Mendel, put us in such great moods, we're sharing them for your listening pleasure! Enjoy our favorite songs from the runway as you browse the Spring collections, drift off to sleep to dream about the clothes, or even when you're at the gym in preparation for all those crop tops. Happy listening!

At New York Fashion Week, it's not always about the models and designers. In fact, celebrities can steal the spotlight with their gorgeous ensembles and even more stunning hair and makeup while sitting front row. While we have plenty of favorites to choose from, Beauty Reporter Kirbie Johnson highlighted some of the unforgettable looks we love so far at Fashion Week. Trust us, you'll want to use these ladies as inspiration.
On Kirbie: Tibi dress.
