During the promotional tour for The Amazing Spider-Man, Emma Stone has been on a chic fashion streak, working the most lust-worthy looks including this right-off-the-runway Burberry Prorsum ensemble. Emma tucked her navy-and-olive striped blouse into a black ruffled pencil skirt, then slipped on a pair of red patent Brian Atwood pumps and a turquoise statement necklace to seal her stunning Seoul style. Perfectly sleek locks, a few gold Jennifer Meyer accessories, and au naturel makeup polished off her impeccable look. Work a similar striped top, black pencil skirt, red pumps, and a statement bib necklace to re-create Emma's classic look, fit for the boardroom or happy hour.
I can't get enough of Victoria Beckham's Thanksgiving fashions. Check her out looking posh as ever out and about in NYC. I love everything about this outfit, but something caught my undivided attention: her ravishing red heels (Loubs, of course!). Now is the time to don this festive color. The sexy hue is ideal for the holiday season and the styles are endless. Strappy, platform, stiletto — you get the picture. On another note, can you think of a better way to make a LBD pop? I didn't think so.
Funny, I've been lusting after her Christian Louboutin Rolando Hidden-Platform ($700). Actually, that price tag is not so funny. Oh, to live the Posh life!
There are trends and then there is the collective unconscious--a trend you might find in a silhouette or textile but the collective unconscious goes beyond those basic similarities. Above, Preen and Phillip Lim both showed cool tones with red sandals. In both instances there was an ease that was made possible by tiered ruffles. Below that, Chloe and Proenza Schouler both paired green men's shirts with brown, loose fitting bottoms and red sandals. In both cases the shirt was tucked in and the models long blonde hair was left cascading over her shoulders. Of the four examples you could call the red shoe the trend and the rest--well, it's just too close to call.
adhusia's outfit depends on her mood and today she feels like a pretty mademoiselle! Her striped dress and red accessories evoke a sophisticated look and the patent skinny belt is lovely. Can't you see Charlotte wearing this in Sex and the City?
Here's what she has on:
- Dress: Antonio Parnas
- Belt: Mer Du Nord
- Shoes: Gino Rossi
- Coat: Tara Jarmon
- Bag: Francesco Biasia
- Sunnies: Reserved
Congrats to adhusia!

There's the power of red. Then there's the power of a red shoe. Valentine's Day isn't too far away, and it's time to start thinking of ways to wow him. I say: ditch the fancy lingerie and invest in a pair of red hot heels. At the end of the night, let these be your only article of clothing. Is it hot in here?
I hope I have provided enough red goodies for you this week to help get you in the holiday-dressing mood. Here is the final installation to my Lady in Red series. I saved the best for last . . . jaw-dropping red shoes. The beauty of red shoes is you can throw on any old LBD and look stunning — hot shoes in this color are guaranteed scene stealers. Here are my designer and nondesigner choices. Oh, and if this isn't enough for you (addict!), I wrote about a few red shoes not too long ago.
Christian Louboutin Peep Toe Slingbacks, $710. Take my breath away . . .
Betsey Johnson Merri Shoes, $170. Didn't I say I was going to take you down the red-brick road?
Nine West Leany, on sale for $39.99 (originally $89). The jaw-dropping thing about these is that price!
