The Mrs. Carter World Tour is shaping up to be quite the fashionable affair. On top of Beyoncé's custom costumes, designed by the likes of Kenzo, Emilio Pucci, and Givenchy — and her tour's eponymous line of concert-inspired tees — Rent the Runway is honoring her tour by debuting a boutique of dresses and accessories, specially curated by Beyoncé herself. Dresses by Nanette Lepore, Moschino, Versace, and Erin Fetherston — just to name a few — and a colorful lineup of sparkling baubles have all become Beyoncé-approved must-have items to style the perfect night out. Shop the entire selection online, and see our favorite items from the boutique, here in the gallery.

If you don't yet have a Rent the Runway account (it's free!), then now is the perfect time to sign up. That's because one of our favorite veteran designers, Donna Karan, has designed an exclusive capsule collection for the retailer that debuted today. The line features three gowns and one cocktail-perfect dress, which retail for $1,995 to $2,995 — but rent for $275 to $400. So you can get all the sophisticated glamour of Donna Karan's exclusive collection without committing to the big-ticket price — that's what we like to call smart shopping. Head inside for a complete look at Donna Karan for Rent the Runway, then start borrowing the one(s) that speak to your style.
Online shopping continued to rock our fashion socks off in 2012. Our new favorite sites in 2012 included Club Monaco, which debuted its ecommerce portion in March; Uniqlo, which opened a US ecommerce site in October; J.Crew Factory, which also got started up in October; Aritzia, which debuted at the end of November; as well as Moda Operandi and Rent the Runway. We loved Club Monaco's sleek look and even sleeker designs, Uniqlo's minimalistic aesthetic, Moda Operandi's fabulous access to preorder covetable designer wear (and now buy in-season as well), J.Crew Factory's amazing discounts, Rent the Runway for allowing us to borrow, not buy, designer dresses, and Aritzia for finally bringing its must-have Vancouver designs to America. So now it's time to vote. Which online retailer do you think deserves the retailer of the year award?
With street-style paparazzi in full force, Fashion Week is all about bringing out your style A-game. That said, our adorable FabSugarTV host Allison McNamara visited the Rent the Runway showroom in NYC to check out all of its amazing designer dresses and accessories to help her prepare for a fashionable week. While it was hard narrowing it down, we think she culled some gorgeous picks — like the perfect little red dress from Z Spoke and pretty peplums from Proenza Schouler — see her in action now.
That's a wrap on the 2012 award season! We're still basking in the excitement from the huge Oscars weekend that closed out more than two months of red carpets, parties, and star-studded events. We blew out our award season coverage more than ever and we had some help to look the part from our friends at Rent the Runway and RevolveClothing.com over the weekend. Rent the Runway dressed our PopSugar and BuzzSugar editors for Oscars night in designers like Narciso Rodriguez, David Meister, and Halston Heritage. The morning after, we were up bright and early to share all the insider details from Hollywood's biggest nights and we were decked in cute tops thanks to Revolve. Check out what we wore!
Big thanks to our friends at Rent the Runway for getting our PopSugar editors red carpet ready this award season. We were decked out in gorgeous gowns, fabulous minis, and showstopping sparkly numbers for the People's Choice, Critics' Choice, and Golden Globe awards so far. In designer labels ranging from Proenza Schouler to Milly, we were ready to make this our best award season yet. Check out our Rent the Runway picks in dresses and jewelry and don't forget to check out the site before your next big event.
Encompassing a penchant for laid-back elegance, Peter Som has left the industry smitten with his effortlessly beautiful gowns and separates. With fans ranging from FLOTUS Michelle Obama to celebs like Eva Mendes, it's safe to say the San Francisco native has created a buzz worth talking about. Most recently, the designer teamed up with Rent the Runway to offer a few of his party dresses and shared with us his holiday season indulgences, thoughts on East Coast vs. West Coast style, and celebrities he would like to dress. Listen up:
On East Coast vs. West Coast style: "It's all about the ease and nonchalance of West Coast style mixed with the high-impact glamour of East Coast dressing. In other words — never look like you've tried too hard (even if you did!)."
On celebrities he would like to dress: "There are so many women who inspire me for their talent, spirit, and confidence! I'd love to dress Cate Blanchett."
On his favorite indulgent holiday treat: "I love cooking and baking so it would have to be my Panettone bread pudding."
On the best and worst presents he ever received: "All presents are great if there's thought behind them."
Purchasing a Chanel bag is a big investment. With prices around $6,000 a bag, it would be ideal to be able to give it a "test drive" before actually committing to such a luxurious, albeit amazing, piece. Check this out: Rent the Runway buddied up with
Today, Rent the Runway announced their official partnership with our sister site Shopstyle, so we immediately had to test Jenny Fleiss and Jennifer Hyman — the founders of RTR — on their style savvy. Their credentials are impressive: after graduating together from Harvard Business School they hatched a little business we know today as Rent the Runway, which operates like the Netflix of designer fashion. Hundreds of covetable dresses that would be way out of many people's reach are now for rent, which means designer fashion just got way more attainable, and getting the perfect outfit for a special occasion got way easier. Still, what is the perfect outfit for those special occasions? We asked Jenny and Jennifer to create outfits on Shopstyle to reflect the perfect outfits for the following events: black-tie, summer wedding, and cocktail party. To see their choices, keep reading. If you love it, just click to shop (or rent).
