Roland Mouret had just been named the new creative director of Robert Clergerie. Roland, who worked with Clergerie in his early fashion career, will create shoes and accessories for the French brand known for its chunky nouveau aesthetic. His designs for Robert Clergerie won't be revealed until later this year, but we hope it's going to include some of his signature sleek structural style as seen in his namesake line.
Travel Style: Jessica Simpson
Jessica Simpson arrived at LAX with best friend Ken Paves looking ready for the paparazzi. She smiled for the camera in her chic shawl collar leather jacket (much like this one by Rick Owens), which she layered over a houndstooth cardigan and black tank. Her Robert Clergerie platform boots gave her some extra height and black sunglasses made her look like a true celeb. Shop it all here.

Trend Alert: Modern Mules
Modern mules are back with a vengeance. I know, it's hard to step out of your comfort zone, but Fab has your back. Notice how new cuts range from feminine and sexy to hard rock cool. Me? I prefer something in the middle like these Taupe Barneys Co-Op Slingback Mules ($495). It's the ultimate balance between funky and fancy. Oh, did I mention modern mules are also quite comfy?
I Want This Wardrobe: Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf
I was smitten with the flock of pretty coats on the latest Gossip Girl. Yellow, pink, purple, blue; you name it. Don't you love how all the mean girls match? I do. The Queen Bee herself shined in a red H&M coat, black bubble skirt, and plaid flats by Robert Clergerie. Blair's innocent, polished look can fool anyone, but we all know the truth . . .
