We're taking you on a rockin' adventure this week — to Bonnaroo, actually. The music festival took place in Manchester, TN over the weekend, so there's lots we can draw inspiration from. Whether or not you attended, your challenge is to create a concert outfit that seriously rocks. Yes, there is set Summer concert gear like denim cutoffs and bikinis, but how can we take that uniform a step further? Lots of accessories, perhaps? That's for you to figure out. Good luck! Oh, and for fresh ideas, check out our Coachella street style coverage.
Admittedly, my musical taste veers toward masculine players. My favorite genre is rock, and though some females definitely rock (Debbie Harry, Stevie Nicks, Chrissie Hynde, Janis!), most of my favorites are male bands. But when I discovered the sister duo that is Heart, I found female refuge. The Wilson sisters — Ann the brunette, Nancy the blonde — were so cool. I love to watch live performances of theirs from the '70s. This is one of my favorites songs and who can forget it blasting during one of the best scenes in The Virgin Suicides?! Oh, Trip Fontaine . . . Note Nancy's awesome guitar intro in her sparkly peach wrap dress. Then Ann takes the stage in her blue dress with silver stars and heart mirror pin. Style and substance, wish I'd been a Wilson sister . . .
Rock shows that fall on weekdays are a major fashion challenge. I want to look cute and edgy, in something like this Trovata Retreat Boatneck in Navy/Green, available for $85 here. But I need to wear it with something that can transition from the office to the concert floor, with comfortable shoes and an easy-to-carry jacket.
So on Monday, I asked you all to come Fab Finding with me for the rest of the ensemble, including a jacket, bottoms, and shoes. To learn what a Fab Find is and how to make one, click here. Here are some of the most rockin' looks.
Look #1, found by WhiplashGirlchild, who chose very practical and funky green Converse All-Stars and music note earrings.

I'm going to a concert on Wednesday night, and to my mind, rock shows that fall on weekdays are a major fashion challenge. I want to look cute and edgy, in something like this Trovata Retreat Boatneck in Navy/Green, available for $85 here. But I need to wear it with something that can transition from the office to the concert floor. Plus, since I'll be standing up during the show, I want relatively comfortable shoes and a jacket I can either wear throughout the concert or tie around my waist.
So let's all go Fab Finding for the rest of the ensemble, including a jacket, bottoms, and shoes. Be sure to come back and tell us that your Fab Finds are up, or just tag your Fab Finds with the phrase "Rock Concert." To learn what a Fab Find is and how to make one, click here.
