Saipua

Deliciously Natural Soaps

There's something really soothing about washing your hands with olive-oil soap, like you're sampling a small slice of life in an Italian country villa.

There's something really soothing about washing your hands with olive-oil soap, like you're sampling a small slice of life in an Italian country villa. And the handcrafted olive-oil soaps made by Saipua are some of the most romantic natural cleansing bars I've come across. The family-owned company, based in New York's Hudson Valley, makes its soaps from Italian olive oil, herbs, and—depending on the variety—other enticing ingredients like avocado oil, coffee, and mango butter. Adding to the exotic flavor, each bar comes wrapped in vintage-inspired papers and maps, making Saipua soaps a great hostess or housewarming gift. You can buy the brand at Saipua's workshop and store in Brooklyn, as well as at other specialty boutiques around the country.
