Often referred to as the Oscars of the East Coast, the Met Gala, helmed by Vogue editor Anna Wintour, is arguably the most fashionable event of the year. This year, the Gala honors the Costume Institute's latest exhibition, Savage Beauty, which looks at the work of British designer Alexander McQueen. It's a special time for the house of McQueen, as Kate Middleton, now Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, wore a wedding dress designed by current Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton.
