We don't see Kate in bold colors often, so her emerald green Kate Moss for Topshop maxi is a shock to the eyes . . . in a good way! Silver chandelier earrings and Yves Saint Laurent black platform pumps maintain the chic while her blue leather jacket brings it all downtown.

It's no secret ripped jeans are majorly in style right now. I have a lightwash pair already, but do you? It's the perfect way to achieve a modern '80s vibe. These Free People Skinny Vintage Destroyed Jeans ($228) caught my eye instantaneously. What I love most about them is the mellow color and the subtle rips. I've lightened my jeans, have you? If not, get to steppin'. I made the switch when I saw Kate Bosworth in these J Brand 912 Thrasher Ripped Jeans ($218). Super cool, right? Love the bleaching effect. The look is total '80s but, like Kate, you can make it as modern as you like. I didn't fork over that amount for the J Brands but I found a similar, less expensive pair I love. With Spring on the horizon, there is no better time to lighten your jeans.
Tori Spelling made a cameo at The Last House on the Left premiere looking like an older version of her 90210 character, Donna Martin. Though this time around, the sunblasted jeans were in a modern, skinny silhouette, and the asymmetry of the leather jacket was considerably more current. If you're digging her look, shop it now.

Cutie Kristen Bell has been making her rounds at New York Fashion Week. She attended the Alice + Olivia presentation in an ensemble that at first seems simple, but upon closer inspection, comes to life. She could have thrown on a dress, like most attendees did, but her look took a little more work. The color palette of black, white, and gold is tame, but the black tapered trousers are what make her so au courant. I love the way her cropped leather jacket toughens up her look, and how the gold coin belt softens it.
