When Harry Met Michelle — Plus the FLOTUS's Most Stylish Moments Yet

Our first lady isn't just a supercool mom and inspiring role model; she's a style maven, too.

Our first lady isn't just a supercool mom and inspiring role model; she's a style maven, too. Michelle Obama is able to jump-start new health- and dance-related initiatives, attend summits and galas around the world with her husband, take her kids to school, and look amazing as she juggles it all. From the custom Jason Wu gown she donned at the president's inaugural ball to casual J.Crew separates, we love her signature style of mixing high and low brands. Her special attention on supporting new, young designers, her disposition toward wearing bright, bold colors, and her knack for showing off those amazingly toned arms are just a few more reasons why we love our FLOTUS's panache. And with yesterday's pretty floral Prabal Gurung sheath (to meet Prince Harry!) supplying our latest round of classic styling inspiration, we're taking a closer look at her best outfits yet.

Look of the Day: Floral-Print Pants

Consider this your how-to for wearing florals after dark.

Consider this your how-to for wearing florals after dark. Community member SaraMiller04's pants, with their bright bloom against a dark background, were the perfect addition to her cocktail-ready look. The key to her outfit's success? Basing her ensemble in black. That way, the almost-neon hues of her pants' seasonal print took center stage in the classic Spring floral look.

Congrats, SaraMiller04!

Look of the Day: Watercolor Florals

We love the instant dose of sporty style POPSUGAR Fashion reader Anastazja gave her ladylike floral dress with a moto-inspired vest. The key to her sartorial success? Keeping her pieces all in the family — the color family, that is. Her vest picked up on the lighter shades of her dress, while blue sunglasses and matching pumps echoed the hues of her dress to tie her lightly layered look all together.

Congrats, Anastazja!

Look of the Day: Preppy in Pink

POPSUGAR Fashion community member Rachelle pulled out all the stops with this feminine and flirty ensemble.

POPSUGAR Fashion community member Rachelle pulled out all the stops with this feminine and flirty ensemble. Pink and black always look great together, and this checkered blouse added a pop of color without being too bright. A black skirt adorned with a large bow was a chic statement-maker, while a gold chain bracelet and a small gold bow necklace were cute minimalist additions to this sophisticated look. The ankle-strap heels elongated her legs — especially when worn with an above-the-knee-length skirt.

Congrats, Rachelle!

Style SOS: How to Battle Oil Stains and Win

Let's just cut to the chase — oil stains don't have to be the death knell of your soiled clothes.

Let's just cut to the chase — oil stains don't have to be the death knell of your soiled clothes. In fact, it's pretty easy to rid those pesky grease spots from your favorite tees and jeans with our quick five-step SOS drill. Just remember: at the moment of stain disaster, try not to panic, don't despair, and definitely avoid rubbing at the stain. Do those three things at the outset and you're already off to a running start. We promise, there's life after olive oil spillage and butter-related crimes, and our tips below will not only help you combat those oil stains, they'll lead you straight to stain removal victory.

  1. Pre-pretreat it. Before the real battle begins, cover the stain with cornstarch and let it soak for at least 30 minutes. Then, simply shake off the excess powder before heading to step two.
  2. Shout it out. There's a reason why this brand has become a household name — Shout is awesome. It literally saves (clothes') lives. In regards to oil stains, you want to spray the area with a solvent-based stain remover, like Shout Advanced Stain Remover Trigger Spray ($5), and gently blot.

Look of the Day: Perfecting Patterns

POPSUGAR Fashion community member House Of Jeffers donned a fun combination of plaid and stripes here.

POPSUGAR Fashion community member House Of Jeffers donned a fun combination of plaid and stripes here. The tank top's skinny black and white stripes aren't too bold or attention-grabbing, as the blue, pink, and purple plaid skirt acted as the main focus in this cute look. The skirt's high-waisted silhouette and flare fit were feminine, while the strappy black wedges added the perfect touch of solid to an otherwise printed outfit. Simple jewelry additions and a striped bag to match the top rounded it all out.

Congrats, House Of Jeffers!
