Rachel Bilson is one busy lady — she's currently starring on Hart of Dixie, designs shoes for ShoeMint, and serves as the style director for Sunglass Hut, but we found out one hidden skill you may not have known about the trendsetting actress. Known for her polished yet casual ensembles, Rachel also revealed that she isn't a fan of risque dressing; for her, confidence is all you need to look sexy. See all of this and more in today's Fab Flash! On Allison McNamara: H&M jacket, Jason Wu for Target blouse.
Besides being the star of Hart of Dixie, Rachel Bilson is also an official style guru. She's not only involved in the fabulous shoe ecommerce site ShoeMint, but she's also the style director of Sunglass Hut. Lucky Angelenos will have a chance to meet Rachel on Monday, March 12, at the Sunglass Hut on 3rd Street in Santa Monica from 4 to 7 p.m. "Monday's event will be really fun!" Rachel told us. "It's all about our favorite things: mine, and the ones of my fans — from my favorite go-to pair of sunglasses to my favorite color, my favorite sweet, and vacation spots. I'll share what I think the must-have sunglass trends for Spring are, and help people pick out their new shades." But before you jet off to mingle with Rachel, find out everything she shared about sunglasses, including her favorite brands, tips for various face shapes, and how many she owns!
CelebStyle: What type of sunglasses do you personally tend to gravitate toward?
Rachel Bilson: I personally love the Ray-Ban Wayfarer. They are hip and cool, but also a classic — a modern trend, but a retro throwback. I just love them and wear them all the time!
CS: If you had to guess, how many sunglasses would you say you've owned in your life?
RB: That's a tough one! I would almost be embarrassed to say how many glasses I have had because they are my ultimate accessory and complete any outfit. I also live in LA, where sunnies are necessary. I definitely have had more than 50 pairs. I love Chanel, Burberry, Tory Burch, and of course Ray-Ban.

Say hello to the new Rachel Bilson. Not the actress, but Rachel Bilson the style director. She initially polished her fashion skills at InStyle, and now Rachel is lending her expertise to Sunglass Hut. She clearly knows a thing or two about sunnies — she does, after all, live in sunny Los Angeles. In her new role, Rachel spotlights her favorite styles, answers reader questions, and serves as the model for the store's hottest brands. And she loves her new job: "I get to see all the new styles before anyone else and then I get to talk to all of you about them. It’s THE best job because I love my sunglasses," she said. Enter to see Rachel in action, both as model and director.
Shopping for sunnies can be a tedious thing. In fact, after numerous trips to boutiques and malls, my friend just found her perfect pair a couple months ago. If you're like her, check out Sunglass Hut's newly launched app dubbed SocialSun. The in-store interactive feature allows customers to take pictures of themselves in Sunglass Hut's divine range of sunnies and send them to friends and family for critique — you can even post the picture on Facebook. For the extra-courageous, peeps can also feature their adorned face on the store's giant screen for all to admire. SocialSun is currently in its test stage at various locations; if it bodes well, look forward to seeing it in all locations. Fun.
