Back in July, when Target and Neiman Marcus announced that Karlie Kloss, Craig McDean, and Quentin Jones were joining forces for the brands' CFDA collaboration campaign, we knew that we would all be in for a real treat. Now that the first glimpse of that campaign is finally out, it's pretty safe to say that we were right. In the just-released behind-the-scenes video, Karlie Kloss frolics on set with Quentin Jones's black-and-white photo cutouts, resulting in a collage of images that promises to look mod and modern — all at the same time."Karlie Kloss is, of course, stunningly beautiful, but I knew that we could get a performance out of her that would really bring this campaign to life," Robin Derrick, executive creative director of Spring Studios, explained. For her part, Kloss seemed quite happy to be involved as well: "You know, it's exciting to be part of such a cool collaboration."

Coming Soon to Target: Even More Multicultural Beauty

Target is stepping it up when it comes to beauty.

Target is stepping it up when it comes to beauty. The store is expanding its multicultural offerings in hair, makeup, and skin care in nearly half of its locations. In some stores, WWD reports, the updated diversity initiative will reach over 36 feet of shelf space — up from only eight feet not too long ago. Featured brands include Shea Moisture, Mixed Chicks, Camille Rose Naturals, The Jane Carter Solution, Milani, Iman, Moco de Gorila, Shea Radiance, and Tio Nacho. The items are budget-friendly, too, ranging from $3 to $22. It's clear that Target is reaching out to a multicomplected, multiethnic, and multifaceted beauty base — and we love it.

Don't Blink: A Tiny Glimpse at More From Prabal Gurung's Target Capsule

Hot off the heels of Monday's announcement that Prabal Gurung will be Target's next designer collaborator comes this: a glossy new video offering the tiniest glimpse of more of the collection.

Hot off the heels of Monday's announcement that Prabal Gurung will be Target's next designer collaborator comes this: a glossy new video offering the tiniest glimpse of more of the collection. There's a macro shot of a bright blue shoe, a peek at the sleeve of a seafoam green top, and a blink-and-you'll-miss-it close-up of an oversize crystal pendant.

The video also offers insight into why Gurung wanted to work with Target. He mentions the desire to offer what he does to a "wider audience," but he also says that ultimately it's all about love. "Whether it's having it, pining for it, losing it, wanting it — most of the collections I do have been inspired by love. If they can feel even a little bit of the love that I felt while I was designing this, I'll consider it a job well done."

It's no secret we live in a crazed digital age where there's an app for ordering car service and same-day "fashion emergency" deliveries — but the latest trend? Shoppable videos. Target just joined the revolution, enlisting Kristen Bell and Nia Long to help them kick off their first shoppable romantic-comedy short film called Falling For You. Practically everything you see in the film, styled by celebrity stylist Jen Rade (also known as Angelina Jolie's red carpet go-to woman), will be available for purchase — over 110 clothing, home, and beauty items from Target's Fall collection to be exact. While we haven't quite mastered the shop-while-you-watch thing, we're definitely intrigued. The movie will be debuted in three five-minute episodes on Oct. 2, Oct. 4, and Oct. 9 at Target.com/FallingForYou, and will remain online while supplies last. Check out the movie trailer below.
