This week, we had the pleasure of talking to Rachel Zoe about her upcoming season three debut of The Rachel Zoe Project, which bows Aug. 3. The celebrity stylist had a lot to say about the qualities she looks for in an assistant, ultimate red carpet moments, and her comedic acting debut in the hilarious PopSugar TV-produced Zoeinator video. "No one loves making fun of themselves more than me," said Zoe. "If you can't beat them, join them." Click on!
>> Rachel Zoe, Editor-in-Chief? —The new season of The Rachel Zoe Project premieres next Tuesday, Aug. 3 at 10 pm on Bravo, and while Zoe was promoting it yesterday, she was questioned about any aspirations as an editor. Her response? “To be honest, I never say never. I think being an editor in chief of a magazine is a huge, huge job. In order to do that, all the other parts of my job would have to be pushed aside,” she said. “I can’t imagine doing that in the near future. If I did do that, it would be a hybrid of a few magazines like W, Bazaar, Elle, Vogue, Love, V, Visionaire. I think it would incorporate a lot of art and high fashion and interviews with interesting people. It would definitely be oversized! With beautiful images and great photography. But that’s a huge, huge job.” [DFR]
Rachel Zoe and her trusty team of editors for The Zoe Report is under attack in this Space Balls meets The Rachel Zoe Project spoof. Comedian Amy Phillips, who is well known for her parodies of Rachel Zoe's Bravo show, plays the stylist's evil alter ego in this ridiculously fun video. The faux fur flies when the two Rachels battle it out with cocktail rings turned lightsabers. Get your morning's giggle fix courtesy of FabSugar in the video above.
For the past two seasons, we have witnessed celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe's hectic, schedule packed, and "disaster" moments that she calls her life. Now, more drama, more fashion disasters, fashion week behind the scenes, meeting with designers like Donatella Versace and Oscar de la Renta, and still managing her personal life with her work life, The Rachel Zoe Project will return Wednesday, August 3 on Bravo. But to me, the most anticipated thing about season three is that Zoe's right hand girl Taylor Jacobson, who was fired because there were clothes missing from the fashion closet, is out of the picture. So how does Zoe feel about it? "I don't care what she does. How's that? How's that for an answer?" Zoe recently told WWD. In the trailer Zoe clearly states "The last thing I want to hear is something good about Taylor." Two things are for sure. First, Brad Goreski (Zoe's super energetic assistant) is still there, yay! And second, Zoe's fashion life will get crazier, I promise!

>> A number of rumors have plagued Rachel Zoe since her former first assistant and co-star on The Rachel Zoe Project Taylor Jacobson left last November. There was talk that Zoe tried to blacklist Jacobson from working with major fashion houses on her own styling projects, and then Page Six reported that Jacobson was fired after clothes went missing from Zoe's fashion closet.
Zoe finally commented on the latter when WWD recently asked her whether the rumor was real: "That was so real that I cannot even tell you how real that actually was. It was like, I hired Brad [Goreski, Zoe's other assistant], this little angel, and then Taylor just went in for the kill. And I, like, did not see that coming. I always knew what she was capable of, but who knew that was going to happen with the camera?"
When asked if she was still in touch with Jacobson, Zoe replied: "The answer to that would be: I would love to tell you but I would have to kill you. You'll see it on season three [of The Rachel Zoe Project, premiering Aug. 3 on Bravo]." Needless to say, any strain between the two has not healed: when Jacobson's consulting job with denim line Kasil was mentioned, Zoe said, "Ugh. Oh yeah. [A line] that I've never heard of. I don't care what she does. How's that? How's that for an answer?" And in the teaser trailer for The Rachel Zoe Project, season 3, below, Goreski mentions to Zoe that he heard Jacobson was styling someone for the Golden Globes, and Zoe replies, "The last thing I want to hear is something good about Taylor."
Rachel enjoyed a ladies' night out at Madeo in LA looking utterly chic in cool separates. Check out how she paired a gorgeous ivory tweed jacket with a draped tunic and over-the-knee boots. Her accessories, comprised of a gold and pearl Chanel necklace, jeweled cuff, gold watch, and patent clutch, finish her fantastic fervor.

Did Rachel Zoe Try to Blacklist Former Styling Assistant Taylor Jacobson From Working With Major Fashion Houses?
>> Rachel Zoe and styling associate Taylor Jacobson parted ways back in November, but the situation hasn't quite been laid to rest. Fashion Week Daily writes that Zoe "began masterminding the blacklist campaign against her former assistant" after Jacobson gave notice, citing a "well-placed source" who divulged:
[Rachel] basically wasn’t happy about Taylor leaving on her own terms and felt like she should have fired Taylor herself. There were a lot of emails and calls that were placed to big houses with the intent of keeping Taylor away, which is ironic because Taylor did about 85 percent of the work in the company.
Zoe reportedly also tried to blacklist Taylor from her usual hair salon. Perhaps this is all fodder for the third season of The Rachel Zoe Project, which is supposed to cover Taylor's departure from the firm?
