>> Downtown separates with a utilitarian spin dominated the Fall 2012 collection for Topshop Unique. Outerwear — wool trench coats, double layer vests — felt right on-trend in oversized military silhouettes, while wide-leg trousers and slouchy skirts in leather provided a hint of '90s grunge. "The concept was trying to reinvent the uniform with a good mix of masculine and feminine," design manager Emma Farrow explained.
Topshop Unique Spring 2012
Topshop Unique presented a Spring 2012 collection at London Fashion Week that had a distinct downtown sporty edge thanks to wild prints, cutouts, mesh, and metallics. If you have a music festival in your future, these clothes might also be for you. Denim swing skirts had geometric-cum-tribal metallic print, a sporty sweatshirt had a photo print of Liz Taylor, and accessory-wise, the gold metallic flatforms and visors had "everyday wear for the boho sporty set" written all over them. We'll add more pictures as they come in, but for now, take a first look at what Topshop will be adding for Spring 2012.

Fashion Week Cheat Sheet: Get Topshop's Dalmatian Nail Art Look Now
Forget leopard-print manicures. At Topshop Unique's Fall 2011 show in London, models wore Minnie Mouse-like double buns coupled with something else very Walt Disney-esque: dalmatian nail art looks. Nail polish guru Sophy Robson used a matte white color as a base and then dotted on black polish to get the Fido-friendly effect. Try the look at home by creating splotches with a black nail art pen, or simply dip a nail art brush into black lacquer and freeform. You'll be spot-on (sorry) with the latest nail trend.
