Whitney Port stepped out for Nylon's anniversary fete channeling the girlie-gone-tough vibe. We love the look for its playful approach to night-out wear, mixing a tulle miniskirt ($277, originally $395) and a biker-chic leather jacket ($110). To add to the eclectic mix, Whitney styles it up with a sheer floral-print tee and a pair of bow-adorned pumps. Looking for something equally unexpected-cool to try on for the weekend? Inspired Spring: Mona Lisa Smile School Girls
I remember watching Mona Lisa Smile and loving two things: the strong group of females — a cast list that included Julia Roberts, Ginnifer Goodwin, Kirsten Dunst, and Julia Stiles — and the retro styling that captured the traditional '50s woman and the rebel. It's that dichotomy that made both the drama and the fashion of the film compelling. Now, it serves as our inspiration to channel both the decade's preppy school girl and the start of the '60s, and the more modern, bohemian woman, mixing full midi skirts with midriff-baring plaid, pedal pushers, and embroidered tunics. We've gathered all of the pieces you'll need to re-create the inspired looks — whether you decide to go prim or a little more laid-back.

Turns out, the rumors are true — Love has paired with the retailer for her inaugural partnership. The collection — a few pictures of which can be seen here — starts dropping in Topshop stores in April. "It evokes the spirit of America," Love says of the offering. "I'm their first designer from the States, so I felt it was important to represent that. These are pieces I haven't had time to create before now." The five-part series includes Hearts and Arrows, featuring antique-finish pewter motifs, first, as well as Dreamcatcher, with blush-tone feathers hanging from linked brass-plated medicine wheels.
