Whitney Port stepped out for Nylon's anniversary fete channeling the girlie-gone-tough vibe. We love the look for its playful approach to night-out wear, mixing a tulle miniskirt ($277, originally $395) and a biker-chic leather jacket ($110). To add to the eclectic mix, Whitney styles it up with a sheer floral-print tee and a pair of bow-adorned pumps. Looking for something equally unexpected-cool to try on for the weekend? This one's for all the girls who prefer a grittier Spring: if lace and eyelet aren't your thing, we suggest you get with this season's other hot trend — '90s grunge. Gisele Bundchen showed off the look to perfection in her Spring ad campaign for Balenciaga, and now we're breaking down our favorite pieces for the warmer months ahead of us. A marled sweatshirt tee from J.Crew, neon green leather skirt from Christopher Kane, dagger bracelet from Fallon . . . and more pieces, and why we love them, in the slideshow.
>> Now that we've whet your Spring shopping appetite, it's time to focus on the pieces that are going to be your tried-and-true staples for the next coming months. Think '70s flared jeans, a breezy linen striped top from J.Crew, comfy everyday wedges, and a pair of cool sunnies — made in a rad retro round shape — from The Row. Check out the slideshow for our top eight basics, and why we love them!
I remember watching Mona Lisa Smile and loving two things: the strong group of females — a cast list that included Julia Roberts, Ginnifer Goodwin, Kirsten Dunst, and Julia Stiles — and the retro styling that captured the traditional '50s woman and the rebel. It's that dichotomy that made both the drama and the fashion of the film compelling. Now, it serves as our inspiration to channel both the decade's preppy school girl and the start of the '60s, and the more modern, bohemian woman, mixing full midi skirts with midriff-baring plaid, pedal pushers, and embroidered tunics. We've gathered all of the pieces you'll need to re-create the inspired looks — whether you decide to go prim or a little more laid-back.
It's no secret that eyelet and lace are a must-wear this season. Their sweet, frilly vibe practically sings Spring in every form they take — on dresses, skirts, shorts, and tees. We love that you can rev them up or tone them down depending on your mood, and for those who fear their overt femininity, stay with us — we've got five fresh ways to outfit yourself in this Spring's lacy, eyelet pieces!
Sienna Miller provides a dose of casual-cool to get you out of your day-to-day style rut. While out and about in London, she paired a silky blouse with standout black contrast trim ($70) and skinny, acid wash denim, then finished with punchy accessories — a pair of bright yellow oxfords and turquoise earrings ($29). It's an unexpected combination, each piece bringing a unique element to a very eclectic-chic result. Just click the items above to shop a similar style.

>> Pamela Love's appearance at the Topshop show last September spurred rumors that she was collaborating with the brand. Turns out, the rumors are true — Love has paired with the retailer for her inaugural partnership. The collection — a few pictures of which can be seen here — starts dropping in Topshop stores in April. "It evokes the spirit of America," Love says of the offering. "I'm their first designer from the States, so I felt it was important to represent that. These are pieces I haven't had time to create before now." The five-part series includes Hearts and Arrows, featuring antique-finish pewter motifs, first, as well as Dreamcatcher, with blush-tone feathers hanging from linked brass-plated medicine wheels. Whisperings of Pamela Love designing a more affordable jewelry collection — her signature pieces are priced as high as $1,000 for a bangle — for Topshop have come out true! Love, known for creating some of the most badass baubles out there, recently tweeted the confirmation, and we're antsy with anticipation. Here's hoping Love's new collab, slated to drop in April, will include some rough and tough claws, cool spikes, and even some daggers!
>> With Spring on the horizon, even if the weather isn't yet on board, we can't help but start planning our warmer weather ensembles. Jessica Stein from Tuula showed off a rust-hued look perfect for the sunny days ahead of us: slouched trousers, off-shoulder top, floppy hat, and suede wedge sandals look simultaneously polished and casual. If you're feeling inspired, nab exact and similar picks from Topshop, Rachel Pally, and Jeffrey Campbell.
