Sienna Miller knows how to start (and own) a trend — boho chic, anyone? — but her latest turn toward a more feminine fit-and-flare silhouette is something she has actually loved for years. While Miller's long-sleeved, light blue Matthew Williamson box-pleat dress may be the most recent example of her penchant for the girlier style, she has also stepped out in Topshop, Valentino, and Twenty8Twelve iterations. And it's not hard to see why she loves a fit-and-flare dress — and why, if you haven't converted yet, it's a really flattering choice for most body types. By cinching the smallest part of your waist and letting the skirt flare out over the hips, it creates an illusion of a bombshell-like figure. And for those of you who aren't after a totally body-con fit, this route touches on something halfway to formfitting. All the proof you need, according to Sienna Miller, is right here.
We've been fans of Twenty8Twelve's effortless cool-girl wares for a while, and now there's even more reason to love the brand with the launch of its Spring '13 denim collection. Boasting an even bigger assortment of colors and prints than ever before, Twenty8Twelve's array of jeans is fit for, well, just about any fashion type. So what makes this denim stand out from the rest? Each pair features a genius four-way stretch fabrication, resulting in a flattering and comfortable fit, and is also made of high-quality European denim. In fact, we can't think of a reason why you shouldn't splurge on a pair of bright red skinnies, or if you're feeling a little more daring, a photographic print to kick-start your Spring wardrobe. Prices range from $180 to $245 and select styles are available online and in stores at select retailers now — but you can click through right here for our favorites.
This week's style winners were all about menswear-inspired looks and bold accessories with a sprinkle of ladylike luxe. Ashley Madekwe kept up her borrowed-from-the-boys streak in a sultry dark-green suit, Nikki Reed punched up her crisp white blouse with a neon BaubleBar necklace and red t-strap ShoeMint sandals, and Solange Knowles's pink Twenty8Twelve shorts suit and striped Nicholas Kirkwood sandals stole the show. Also worth a second look this week were Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, Taylor Swift, and Ashley Olsen. Get a closer look at this week's standouts, then shop their looks for yourself.
Solange Knowles is never one to shy away from bold trends and her latest look at an event in NYC is clearly not an exception. She paired up this Twenty8Twelve pink jacket ($394) with matching high-waist shorts ($245), then finished off with funky black-and-white pieces: a checkered turtleneck and these Nicholas Kirkwood striped sandals ($965). Adding further quirk to her ensemble was a clear clutch with the British flag on it. Get pretty in pink in Solange's exact shorts suit and striped sandals. Then when the weather is chilly, you can sport the suit with black tights and booties.
Scalloped shorts have been on trend for a while now, but when we spotted Kate Bosworth wearing them during a breezy NYC stroll, we knew it was time to resurrect them. So we did some digging and found three other stylish celebs — Olivia Palermo, Nicky Hilton, Chloë Sevigny, and Sienna Miller — rocking scalloped shorts in their own unique way. Check them all out, then be sure to add one or more celebrity-inspired scalloped shorts to your Summer mix.
>> Sienna Miller says her sister Savannah is hard at work on a new clothing label, which is her first foray into the fashion business since both siblings left Twenty8Twelve late last January.
"My sister is an amazing designer — she's working on her new label at the moment," Sienna told Vogue UK. "In fact she's designing in my attic as we speak. I just can't wait to wear all of the pieces."
While Sienna didn't say what any of those pieces would look like, Savannah's established aesthetic speaks to a very British sensibility — influenced no doubt by working for other British design talents like Alexander McQueen, Anya Hindmarch, and Matthew Williamson.
The Millers started Twenty8Twelve as co-creative directors in 2007. They left the brand in early January 2012, shortly before they were scheduled to present their Fall 2012 line during London Fashion Week. Sienna, who is currently pregnant, told WWD that she and her sister were "looking forward to new pastures. We wish the brand the best of luck for the future."
Twenty8Twelve has continued as a brand without the sisters' involvement, changing its full name from Twenty8Twelve by s. miller to Twenty8Twelve London.

Even though sisters Savannah and Sienna Miller left the brand earlier this year, the ultra-cool Twenty8Twelve girl that they created is still very much present in the Fall '12 collection. Designers Vanessa James and Elsa Elphick offered a '60s mod grouping for the season, featuring Beatnik-style babydoll frocks with tights, slim-fitting trousers and flawlessly-cut coats — all perfect pieces for the seemingly effortless girl-about-town. They also played with prints — we saw the Prince of Wales check on tailored trousers, a silk blouse and skirt were cut in bold florals, and a psychedelic pattern popped up on a pair of slouchy shorts. Overall, Twenty8Twelve still has the same pretty, cool-girl appeal, and we're really feeling this Fall collection.
- Trends: Menswear-inspired trousers, tailored peacoats, short babydoll dresses, leather touches.

- Key Piece: The Pepto Bismol-pink peplum dress caught our eye immediately.

>> Savannah and Sienna Miller may have cut their ties, but that doesn't mean Twenty8Twelve has lost any bit of It-girl charm. For Fall 2012, the collection's main references — Truman Capote and London in the 1960s — look fresh in a vivid palette of grenadine, violet, and kelly green. Shapes are youthful and easy-wearing, with leather jackets, draped wool skirts, printed pajama pants, and knit dresses all offering plenty of appeal.
Lest you forget the holiday season is just around the corner, Sienna Miller is already outfitting a prime example of festive chic. Her girlie Twenty8Twelve LBD is that perfect combination of sweet and sexy, thanks to sheer sleeves and a mini hemline. Sure, it's an all-black palette, but Sienna holds our interest with a great pair of open-toe Jimmy Choo booties and a pop of shine on her hoop earrings. Add in a metallic clutch and you're dressed to hit the party circuit. Just shop our key pieces to channel Sienna's look.
