Shirtless footballers have been in the spotlight since the start of the World Cup, but V Magazine's got a hot look at the women behind the players. Inspired by Argentinian botineras, aka footballers' wives, Dree Hemingway, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Constance Jablonski strike a few sizzling poses, snapped by Sebastian Faena, in a tribute to the game and the world's hottest bods. Brace yourselves, what comes next is straight up sexy.

Frenzy over the World Cup hasn't escaped the fashion world, and our favorite soccer-inspired editorial comes from V magazine's "The Sexy Body Issue." Photographed by Sebastian Faena, Alessandra Ambrosio, Eniko Mihalik, Maryna Linchuk, Dree Hemingway, and Constance Jablonski appear in a 12-page spread inspired by Argentine footballers' wives. The layout is not unlike a South American celebrity gossip mag with photos of a breast-feeding Maryna and Dree in head to toe leopard print complete with sensational headlines like "Scandal! Girls Banned From Smoking!"

V magazine issue #66 also features the 50 hottest bodies in the world, and will be on newsstands July 8.

In a mix of body-baring looks from Givenchy, Balmain, Azzedine Alaïa, Rick Owens, and Yves Saint Laurent, Jamie Bochert poses with the American Ballet Theater's James Applewhite in a 20-page spread for V magazine's "Summer Scorcher" issue. In front of the camera lens of Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and with styling by Joe McKenna, Bochert transforms into a bronzed goddess with a penchant for acid hues and leopard prints. V magazine, issue #65 with cover girl Scarlett Johansson, is on newsstands today.

For issue #65 "The Summer Scorcher," the editors at V magazine asked some of their most fashionable friends to send seaside snapshots of favorite summer vacations. The results—including Angela Lindvall posing with her two boys in the Bahamas, Raquel Zimmermann wading into the Pacific ocean (above), and a 15-month-old Jacquelyn Jablonski playing with a sand bucket on the rocky shores of New Jersey—can be seen in the upcoming issue on newsstands May 11. Daria. Mario. Mexicana. Can you feel the heat? The three team up in the upcoming issue of V Magazine in a spread inspired by Mexican actress Maria Felix — also known as La Doña, a woman who was a fixture in the fashion world as well as in Mexican cinema. Designers like Christian Dior, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, and Chanel dressed Felix once upon a time, and the actress also commissioned serpent and crocodile diamond necklaces from Cartier Paris. In V magazine's next issue, Canadian supermodel Daria Werbowy appears in a 10-page spread by Mario Testino inspired by Mexican actress Maria Felix and her collection of serpent and crocodile diamond necklaces from Cartier. A well-tanned Werbowy looks stunning in south of the border-style gigantic hats, smoking fat cigars and wearing armfuls of bangles.
