At the 2012 Oscars, the gorgeous gowns didn't end once the awards were handed out — some of our favorite dresses popped up at the party after. From Diane Kruger's peekabo Calvin Klein dress to Kate Bosworth's sheer Prabal Gurung, the gowns at the famous Vanity Fair afterparty truly stunned. Watch now to see who was our (postshow) best dressed!
Gorgeous gowns continued to hit the red carpet long after the last Oscar statue was handed out. Hollywood's finest flocked to the Vanity Fair post-Oscar party at the Sunset Tower Hotel and looked fabulous! While we had a tough time choosing, Lea Michele, Kate Beckinsale, Rosario Dawson, Elizabeth Banks, and Jessica Biel topped our post-Academy Awards best dressed list! Watch to see what they wore! Actress Leslie Mann, who played Paul Rudd's wife in Knocked Up and is wife to Judd Apatow in real life, wowed in a deep burgundy strapless gown. The fitted strapless bodice gives way to a flowy skirt and a thigh-high slit. Her hair and makeup are natural and sexy, but she revved up the glam factor with her accessories: diamond bangles, a big cocktail ring and sleek black clutch. What do you think?

The Oscars red carpet is all about the lavish, while the afterparty looks always bring on the fun. This year, ladies like Maggie Gyllenhaal and Carey Mulligan stayed in their original gowns at the Vanity Fair and Elton John parties, while others, like Jennifer Lopez and Amanda Seyfried, changed into sassier, less fancy frocks. Everyone looked snazzy — all different but all spotlight-worthy. Enter for way more afterparty looks.
Little party dresses were all over these pretty young things at the Vanity Fair Oscar After Party. A fun flirty frock would have been my first choice for such an event so I thought this was a fun trend to report. You all thought Buffy was best dressed at the after parties, but here are a few more fab dresses to feast your eyes on. Oh, and I think Gabrielle Union's red strapless number is particularly foxy!

Ok last one for the boys because I just couldn't resist. Joshua Jackson looks so cute, but where is his tie? Seems to be the trend this year. I do like his facial hair much better than Adam Brody's, however. What do you think?
No matter your opinion of Ryan Phillippe and what he may or may not have done to break up his marriage with our Oscars Best Dressed Winner, Reese, I can't help but think he looks pretty hot here. But I do think he is way too casual for the Oscars. Is that his tie undone and just hanging around his neck? What do you think?
And continuing on with the boys, here is one of my faves, Adam Brody. I think he looks quite dapper in his suit, vest and loose tie, but I am not digging the facial hair. What do you think?
What an interesting batch of best dressed ladies! I am really proud of Buffy, er, Sarah Michelle Gellar, (sorry old habits die hard), to be considered best dressed with such fashion icons as Madonna and Liv Tyler. Although I have to say, overall, no one took any major risks here. We're sort of back to the gorgeous, but already been done before, Grecian trend. Oh well, they all look beautiful and ready to party. Who was your favorite?
