Nothing could kick-start Couture Fashion Week quite like Atelier Versace's confident return to the ring after an eight-year hiatus.

Nothing could kick-start Couture Fashion Week quite like Atelier Versace's confident return to the ring after an eight-year hiatus. Donatella Versace presented the label's couture collection for the first time since 2004, marking its resurrection in signature brights and distinctly sexy silhouettes. All the elements we've come to rely on from a Versace collection were present — curve-hugging bodices, brilliant statement color, leg-revealing hemlines — and like any good couture collection, there, too, was the element of surprise. The standout, but limited, color palette verged between blinding brights, creamy grays, neutrals, and a splash of gold. We're treated to all-out sultry silhouettes, then checked with futuristic-feeling detail. Laser cuts and lace feel at once delicate and fierce, like the glamorous gold heels made tougher with buckled shin guards. The collection was sexy, but not without substance — just the way we like our leading ladies who will wear it.

Trends: Neoprene brights, corsets, lace, peplum.
Colors: Citrus hues — orange, green, yellow; nude, gray, gold.
Key Look: The creamy gray lace-paneled gown with gold-collared halter neckline.
Accessories: Heels and boots with shin guards buckled up over the calf.
Who Would Wear It: January Jones, Jessica Alba, red carpet queens who crave drama and sexy cuts.

We're excited to bring you the best fashion finds, shopping stories, and style news from one of our favorite sites, Fashionista. Today, they're giving us a peek at Cindy Crawford's daughter's new Versace campaign.

Chalk it up to good genetics and great connections, but celeb offspring are landing some pretty sweet modeling gigs lately, at ages when most kids are entering their gawkiest stages.

Oasis’s Noel Gallagher's gorgeous daughter Anais Gallagher was just shot by Mario Testino, but now some real modeling royalty offspring has entered the arena: Cindy Crawford’s 10-year-old daughter Kaia (dad is Rande Gerber). She’s just been announced as the new face of Young Versace. Mom Cindy was a muse of Gianni’s, so it has to be a sweet moment for everyone involved that Kaia is taking up the Versace mantle now.

“Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift,” Donatella Versace said in a release. “The camera really, really loves her. Having Cindy on set for the shoot took me back to all the amazing Avedon shoots we worked on together. It was such a special treat watching Kaia walk in her mother’s footsteps!”

If the first Versace for H&M collection has left you wanting more, look out for the second line, launching Jan. 19. However, there's one minor speed bump — the Cruise collection will only be available online, and H&M won't have e-commerce set up for its US costumers until Fall 2012. But don't let that stop you. We're predicting a lot of the pieces will show up on eBay once the collection drops. For now, check out the complete collection — highlighting pretty pastel colors, fruit-print dresses, and cute bikinis — in the slideshow now.
