We always love a good airport-chic ensemble, and Victoria Beckham's outfit at LAX yesterday definitely made the cut. She opted for a short-sleeve maroon sweater by Miu Miu, which she paired with a navy plaid skirt. She polished it off with black tights, superhigh booties, and her daughter Harper Seven in her arms! Victoria made her way to NYC from LA to get ready to show two collections at Fashion Week, Victoria Beckham and Victoria Victoria Beckham. We can't wait to see what she puts on the catwalk for Fall 2012! On Allison McNamara: Isabel Marant sweater, Rebecca Taylor coat.
Victoria Beckham Launches Girlier, More Affordable Dress Line!
If owning a piece from Victoria Beckham's pricey namesake line didn't make it in your monthly shopping allowance, get ready to rejoice. Beckham just announced she will be launching a more girly and affordable dress line, called Victoria by Victoria Beckham set to launch in Spring 2012. Inspired by quirky cartoon character Emily the Strange, Beckham went forth and created loose, '60s silhouettes — complete with scallops and pleats — dipped in bright hues. Much more feminine details than her minimal collection line, and it will also be lower priced with prices set to be in the $550-$900 range. While it's still an investment, we like that Victoria is expanding her line and looking at lower price points! Click the slideshow to see dresses from the line.
Fashion Deja Vu: Do You Prefer Victoria Beckham's Fall '10 Dress Short or Long?
Victoria Beckham is quite proud of her Fall '10 designs — I can't say I blame her! Back in March, she wore her long asymmetrical gown to the 2010 Oscars Vanity Fair afterparty. Now the posh mama is playing fashion deja vu by wearing a similar dress, albeit way shorter, to the LG LA party. Same rich champagne coloring, subtle print, and beautiful silk fabric, but different silhouettes. It's going to be a toughie, but which dress do you prefer?

Trend Alert: Icy Cool Frocks
Gwyneth, Carrie, Scarlett — megawatt style power. And they're all embracing Spring's array of icy cool frocks. With fashion on the cusp of returning to minimalism, these modern frocks feel so right. Gwyneth, in tailored smoky gray Victoria Beckham collection, brings life to her look via Georgina Goodman "Love" heels. Carrie is flirty and flashy in her plunging Rafael Cennamo party dress. And Scarlett is sophisticated in her curve-hugging Roland Mouret with sculptured sleeves. No, you don't have to be a beautiful blonde to wear one; yes, you will have this dress for years to come.

Simon Fuller Leaves 19 Entertainment; Roland Mouret, Victoria Beckham, and Storm Models Could Be Affected by Company Buyout
>> Two months ago, Simon Fuller, the founder of 19 Entertainment, which owns controlling stakes in Storm Models, Victoria Beckham Collection, and RM by Roland Mouret, announced that he was leaving the company to start a new company pursuing film and other entertainment projects. He is currently retained as a consultant at 19 Entertainment.
For the past year or so, rumors have surrounded Fuller. Last June, it was announced he was teaming with Topshop's Sir Phillip Green for a global entertainment company; soon after, word came that Kate Moss might somehow be involved. Then, in November, Fuller was rumored to be pairing with Victoria Beckham for a New York-based modeling agency, which Beckham then denied.
But yesterday came news that 19 Entertainment's owner CKX (Fuller sold to CKX in 2005) is discussing the sale of 19 Entertainment to One Equity Partners, the private equity arm of JPMorgan Chase. Without Fuller and with a potential new owner, there's no confirmation on what the buyout might mean for Storm Models, Victoria Beckham Collection, and RM by Roland Mouret.
Celeb Style: Victoria Beckham
What a huge week for Victoria — she's unstoppable! Now let's admire her pizazz. On her way to a London dinner to celebrate her hot December Harper's Bazaar cover, she wore a dazzling LBD from her Spring '10 collection and Christian Louboutin pumps. To re-create the look, all you need is an exposed-zipper dress, a jeweled belt, sharp earrings, and cap-toe pumps. VB chic in a snap.

Victoria Beckham Designs On Her Own, Without the Help of Close Friends Roland Mouret or Marc Jacobs
>> dVb is no more: Victoria Beckham has taken her denim and eyewear collections in-house to go with her four season-old dress line, and everything is now housed under the Victoria Beckham collection. Beckham, who just had up to 75 of her dresses stolen en route to Neiman Marcus in London for delivery last week, is serious about the designing thing.
Despite traces of Roland Mouret's aesthetic in her dress collection (and the fact that they're both backed by Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment), Beckham insists all design decisions are her own.
I have utmost respect for Roland. I think he is incredibly talented. I love what he does. He’s a great businessman. When I very first started working on the dresses, he gave me advice when it came to putting my team together. He doesn’t have anything to do with the design of anything that I do. But he taught me about how to turn my dreams into reality, if you like. He told me I needed a production manager — he helped with that side of things. I do what I do, and he does what he does, and it’s incredibly separate.
The Unstoppable Victoria Beckham
No burglary heist could slow down Victoria Beckham. The ex-Spice Girl and celebrity designer has proven she's got some serious staying power in the fashion industry, and not only with her highly coveted dress collection. Tomorrow, the self-proclaimed perfectionist will reveal her completely redesigned denim and eyewear collection — which is now under the sole control of Beckham — at Net-A-Porter, along with two short fashion flicks honoring the occasion.
“I plan on still being here in 25 to 30 years' time,” said Beckham. "It's about doing things gradually and building the brand in a strategic way. It's about finding the right time, the right team. With everything that I do, I will only do it after I’ve done all my homework. I really am a perfectionist, and I don't want to rush anything."
That said, Beckham's business has grown tremendously over the past four seasons. Industry sources estimate the designer's dress, denim, and eyewear business will do about $7.5 million in sales next year. Marc Jacobs even touted Beckham for her accomplishments and work ethic, stating, "She is someone who has always wanted to design clothes. She knows the body, she loves it and she’s working her ass off."
Victoria's fresh denim line will retail at $215 to $485; eyewear will range from $349 for acetate Wayfarers to $525 for metal flat-top sunglasses. Super hot. Can you believe she used to be bullied in school? What doesn't break you makes you stronger, right?

Trend Alert: Crisp Cobalt
Victoria Beckham was probably so proud to see Blake Lively donning her stunning creation at the Saks Fifth Avenue soiree in NYC. It doesn't take much for the Gossip Girl to shine, but I can't help but be blinded by the crisp cobalt hue. This bold blue is once again popular, and I can see why. It's simultaneously daring, yet sleek, and complements every skin tone.
Try this bright blue on a dress, like Blake does, or pair it with neutral separates. I've always been a fan of wearing it with gray for a downtown sophistication.
