Online retailers selling vintage jewelry are gaining momentum as consumers look to make meaningful purchases that will last a lifetime. As Carmen Haid, founder of vintage clothing and accessories website Atelier Meyer, told WWD in an article on the demand for vintage online, “I don’t think people want to spend on a piece from the high street that will last a season anymore. A vintage investment is season-less." And, when it comes to jewelry, vintage often equals timeless. Take our selection above from Christian Lacroix, Givenchy, and Chanel among others—there's nothing we probably wouldn't wear ten years from now.

Vintage modern jewels might sound like an oxymoron but let me explain. This new crop of adornments are all about emoting a throwback vibe with a contemporary, funky twist. The best thing? They look like they cost a million dollars, but really, they don't . . .
Yoox.com is now my favorite jewelry stop. The online retailer launched Past & Present, a new area dedicated to contemporary and vintage jewels. In contemporary, you'll find modern pieces like skull earrings and chain-link rings. In vintage, there are one-of-a-kind necklaces, art deco earrings, and sparkly pieces, like these Unsigned Crystal Earrings ($85). Hurry, they're selling out quickly.
Jewelry designer J. Mundo and her husband live in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she creates her affordable and one-of-a-kind vintage jewels. She gathers her pieces at flea markets, antique shops and from the personal collections of family and friends. New materials are combined with vintage elements to make for unique designs. All of her pieces have a fun name relating to past and present movies that the duo loves. And Now Presenting (left), $58, is just one of the many feminine and beautiful creations by J. Mundo. Prices range from $12 to $70.
