>> Alessandra Ambrosio has taken a couple of turns on the Spring 2011 catwalks — the latest was at Giles, where she wore her bread and butter: a bikini. "I wake up and read [show stylist] Katie [Grand]'s message on my phone — 'Are you okay wearing a bikini?'" she told The Cut. "I had to think second thoughts about what I was going to have for breakfast. [But] I'm like, 'I guess.' Because I'm Brazilian and I do Victoria's Secret, it wouldn't be polite to say I'm not okay. As long as it's not a G-string, I'm okay. I'm a mom now: I can't [do G-strings]." See Ambrosio, Jessica Stam, and more doing the backstage thing during London Fashion Week — we've got snaps from Christopher Kane, Erdem, Giles, Mary Katrantzou, Matthew Williamson, Marios Schwab, Mark Fast, Peter Pilotto, Pringle of Scotland, Richard Nicoll, Jonathan Saunders, Topshop Unique, and Vivienne Westwood.

>> It's not often that a designer graces the cover of a magazine, but in celebration of a decade since its launch, 10 magazine wrangled ten "fashion gods" for ten separate covers — each photographed by the lensman of their choice. Helmut Lang sent in a passport photo, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana commissioned Terry Richardson, Vivienne Westwood had Juergen Teller capture her, Ralph Lauren was snapped by Bruce Weber, and Karl Lagerfeld submitted a self-portrait. Alber Elbaz, Azzedine Alaia, Donatella Versace, John Galliano, and Tom Ford round out the rest of the designers featured.

“These are some of the faces that have made our industry and it is an honour to be celebrating them. 10 magazine has a history of celebrating the best creative talent in the world and we are honoured that these icons of fashion agreed to be our cover stars,” said Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou, the magazine's founder and editor-in-chief (who is also creative director and fashion director at Harper's Bazaar UK).

Spring is the perfect time to show off tenacious tribal prints. These bold patterns — we especially love the African-inspired prints — emote major artsy-cum-funky appeal. Unlike Aztec techno motifs, tribal prints boast richer hues such as red, green, yellow, and brown. We can't stop staring at this amazing Diane von Furstenberg African Sugar-Print Canvas Bag ($1,400) — wowee.

Stylist Nicola Formichetti Reveals His Humble Beginnings: Vivienne Westwood Thief and Alexander McQueen "Stalker"

>> Nicola Formichetti has made quite a name for himself as creative director of Dazed & Confused, and more recently, as Lady Gaga's stylist. But when he was first starting out, as he told French quarterly magazine WAD in the new Spring 2010 issue, his titles were more humble . . . that of fashion thief and "stalker":

I was the biggest Vivienne Westwood fan. So I started working at her store. I used to steal a lot of things there. One day, the manager told me, 'People have been stealing. We now have to check everyone before the leave the store.' That day, I had a bag full of accessories. So I threw it into the bin. My plan was to wait for the cleaning lady to throw the bins outside, and then to retrieve the bag. She came 30 minutes after closing. And just when I was ransacking the bins, I saw my manager watching me. He started yelling: 'You will never work here again.' [Laughs]
