• Diane von Furstenberg was instated as president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America for the fourth time last week, extending her tenure until at least 2014. • J.Crew will make its introduction to the Chinese market through a partnership with retailer Lane Crawford. The store will play host to a curated selection of the retailer's Fall 2012 women's ready-to-wear and shoes, menswear, and accessory collections. One of our favorite looks from last night's CFDA Awards was Leelee Sobieski looking crisp and refreshing in a cream and white menswear suit, accessorizing the masculine look with only a sexy red lip. Her oft-publicized resemblance to Helen Hunt brought us back to 1991, when Helen Hunt donned an oversized cream menswear suit for a play opening. Oh, how the tailoring has changed in the last 20 years. Leelee's suit was designed by husband Adam Kimmel, and we love the slim jacket paired with slouchier, high-waisted pants. Helen Hunt still managed to look adorable despite the monster-sized shoulders (remember she was fresh off the '80s). What are some of your favorite Summer suit looks?

>> In recent years, Hakaan, Giles Deacon, and Gareth Pugh have all been awarded the ANDAM Prize — the largest international fashion prize of its kind — and as a result moved their fashion shows to Paris. Who will be next? The 2011 nominees have just been announced, and include Adam Kimmel, Anthony Vaccarello, Commuun, Jeremy Laing, Matthew Harding, and Yiqing Yin. The 22 jury members — which this year include Pierre Berge, Delfine Arnault, Emmanuelle Alt, Humberto Leon, Sarah Lerfel, and Hilary Alexander, will meet on June 28 to select the 2011 prize winner, who will receive 200,000 euros (approx. $282,000); a donation of 10,000 euros ($14,100) worth of Swarovski crystals for their Spring 2012 collection; and mentorship by former Chloe CEO Ralph Toledano for two seasons on creative and commercial development.
