If there was a girl I had to deem representative of feminine and fun LA style it would be Nicky Hilton. She can be flashy fun, but she can also pull in the reigns and be sophisticated. This look softly portrays the lazy days of Summer. It's monochrome; her dress, Balenciaga bag, and wedges are ultralight hued. Speaking of the dress: Does anyone know who it's by?! This dress has been the thorn in my side all week and I now bring it to you, fine Fab readers, to help me ID it. It's adorable. The crocheted neckline, the buttons and the subtle ikat print are sundress perfection. She wears gold aviators and oversized hoops for bling effect, and her wedges have a vintage feel. Even her white cocktail ring stands out. I bet Nicky just threw on her (blank) dress and the rest, and headed out to the streets of her wonderland.

What's all this talk against my girl LC? Allegations that she doesn't have as heavy of a hand in the design of The Lauren Conrad Collection as we all thought, and being dropped from Kitson last week? Lauren doesn't seem fazed by any of this while shopping with roomie Lo at Intermix. I'm loving her laid back look: Elizabeth and James plaid shirt, patent Mulberry Bayswater, cuffed jeans, chic Loubs, and golden aviators. Lo is looking pretty cute, too. The cast of Gossip Girl and Jennifer Hudson have teamed up with Deeply Madly Living to benefit the V-Day Foundation (an antifemale violence organization) and the Children’s Defense Fund, according a 5W PR rep. The starlets have each personally autographed a base of the Deeply Madly Living Celebrity Lamp ($1,600), a lamp with a shade made of 40 pairs of mirrored, incognito aviator shades resting on a shiny, linear stand, creating a sparkling paparazzi effect when turned on. Auction of two of these signed fixtures kicked off yesterday on eBay, with bidding starting at $800 and proceeds going to the charities.

The design debuted at last week's International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York. It was originally constructed of upcycled aviator sunglasses but unfortunately, now is being produced entirely from new sunglasses, thanks to the demands of mass production.
