The costume: Betty Boop
With her big eyes, spindly lashes, and red puckered lips, the iconic cartoon star has a style like no other. So if you're thinking about going all-out on your Halloween beauty look, it's time to slink into that little red dress.

Hair and makeup: Betty Boop wigs are readily available online, but if you already have her black pixie on lockdown, just add some tight ringlet curls along the sides of your head. For makeup, wear false lashes on both your top and bottom lashes and exaggerate your brows with liquid black liner. Overdraw your lips in a heart shape — true loyalists may want to dab concealer onto the corners of the lips to keep the mouth looking small and oval shaped.

What to wear: Slip into a tiny red dress, whether it be a store-bought costume or one you've picked out of your closet. Red patent-leather pumps are a must, along with gold hoop earrings and gold bangle bracelets.

Take it to the next level: Shimmy a garter up your leg, grab a stuffed dog to stand in as Betty's pooch Pudgy, and break out into show tunes whenever the mood strikes.

Daria Werbowy and Betty Boop Hypnotize in Lancôme's New Film

"Just say it with the eyes," Betty Boop — yes, that Betty Boop — tells Daria Werbowy in this adorable new mini film from Lancôme.

"Just say it with the eyes," Betty Boop — yes, that Betty Boop — tells Daria Werbowy in this adorable new mini film from Lancôme. Created in honor of the brand's new Hypnôse Star Mascara and directed by Joann Sfar, the film features Werbowy as an up-and-coming ingenue in need of some sage advice from a veteran star. "I've been in the business since black and white," Boop assures her.

The chemistry between the two talents is undeniable, and Werbowy is charming. After all, it's not easy to act opposite a drawing — even one as charismatic as Boop. Lancôme's Hypnôse Star Mascara hits Sephora for pre-sale July 9.

A Fabby Halloween: Betty Boop

Want to be cute as a button come Halloween?

Want to be cute as a button come Halloween? Betty Boop may be old (circa 1932) but she's still got it. I was BB a few years ago and it was a cheap, flirtatious costume. The key pieces are the black curly wig, a bustier neckline, a garter belt, and gold hoops and bangles. The rest can be left to the imagination. Like any true fashion-loving gal, BB had a large closet. She was seen in little pink dresses, festive attire, sexy LBDs, even cowgirl outfits, but the BB I admire the most is the simply sexy one. Oh, and for this, you may want to invest in some boob inserts — BB's cleavage was one of her proudest assets.

Let's Halloween-ify the Look Book!

Ready or not, here Halloween comes!

Ready or not, here Halloween comes! My costume is almost complete — I'm still on the hunt for pink gloves and a wooden finger — who can guess who I'm going to be?! I thought it would be fun to share costumes of Halloween past in the Look Book. I have uploaded some of my faves over the years for you to chuckle at. There's Fab Barbarella on the left, a trio of sassy sailor girls in the middle, and none other than Betty Boop far right. I usually sex it up on Halloween but this year I'm going for a cooler, more demure character. Please upload your proudest Halloween costumes to the Look Book and if I feature you on Fab you'll get a special Halloween treat.

Help Halloween-ify the Look Book by submitting your past costumes and I might feature you on FabSugar!
