I'm the first to admit I love the sun. But I'm also the first to bust out the sunscreen. On top of that, hats offer double protection and added cuteness. Swimwear designer Brette Sandler has expanded into beach accessories. On a mission to inspire more women to be responsible in the sun, 25 percent of proceeds from the floppy hats benefit The Skin Cancer Foundation. The hat comes in two colorways and sells for $95 exclusively at brettesandler.com. Added bonus: Brette designed these cool lanyard-meets-friendship bracelets ($30) in juicy fruit colors. Yummy.
How lovely to see the philanthropic Reese Witherspoon on this Friday. The actress fulfilled Avon global ambassador duties in a girlie navy blue halter ruffle dress, paired with gorgeous blue satin Christian Louboutins. It's a fitting choice for the charity event and goes perfectly with Reese's sweet personality. To add some shine, the actress accessorized with gold bracelets and small gold hoops.
When you're wearing a plain ensemble, why not spruce things up with an exotic cover up? Just look to Nicole Richie (left) for inspiration. Her black tank and jeans combo is far from boring thanks to the colorful addition of her embellished, sheer cover up.
Word to the wise: You don't have to travel to the far East Indies to find this look. Check out your local flea markets to find the cheapest and best selection.
I literally did a double take when I came across this Brette Sandler Sandy Keyhole Tunic, $242. WTF?! I know Summer is wrapping up but I just had to show you this. The huge cutout hole is meant to show off your swimsuit but what it really does is make you look like you have a big, awkward hole in the middle of your body. It is utterly unflattering and inappropriate if you ask me. I'd prefer it if it was a regular tunic...do you agree?
