We discussed last week how Brocade Home is back, but with little fanfare and no new Fall collections to show for all the time it spent on its grand vacance this Summer. But, I did notice something nice, new, and appropriate for Fall in the shop. The oversized Brocade Home Brushed Metal Vases ($129) in high-gloss bronze have a warmth that faces off with the rapidly decreasing temperatures these days. At 22 to 30 inches high, they're also statement pieces that will demand attention whether or not you fill them with fresh flowers. If bronze isn't for you, though, they're also available in silver. What do you think?
Look of the Day: Bronze Beauty
Isn't shulemina a bronze beauty? Her sun kissed skin complements the gold-toned babydoll and sandals to a tee and I love the metallic bronze clutch!
Here's what she has on:
- Dress: Lulumari
- Shoes: J. Renteria
- Clutch: Bershka
- Jewelry: Sergio Bustamante
Congrats to shulemina!

Celebrity Style: Amber Valetta
I always look forward to seeing veteran models on the red carpet, especially when they have enviably effortless style. Amber Valetta attended Fashion For Life 2008 in a strapless metallic bronze dress, accessorized with a gold box clutch, strappy sandals, and bangles. It's an unfussy and elegant look that can easily be imitated even in a different color palette.

Artist of the Day: David Wiseman
David Wiseman works in a variety of mediums including wood, porcelain, crystal, and bronze, and is inspired by the subtleties in nature, like the texture of bark or the pattern of moss growing on a rock. His designs, which can be found on a tabletop, wrapped around a fireplace, or dangling from the ceiling, highlight these organic details, and bring a romantic, Sleeping Beauty-esque woodland quality indoors.
His bronze branches, which sprout porcelain blossoms, are kindred spirits of midcentury bronze wall sculptures, but have a timeless sophistication that supersedes them. His deer head-shaped hat hangers bear the childlike playfulness of Rudolph, white still maintaining a distinct maturity. To continue your introduction and see some of his work, read more
Coming Soon: Flirt! Cosmetics Totally Bronze Collection
I haven't seen a group of warm, neutral shades like this new Flirt! Cosmetics Totally Bronze Spring Color Collection in some time. All of the colors are tame and flattering, letting you get a sun-goddess look without laying out in the sun. There are golden peachy-pinks for the eyes, lips and cheeks and golden bronze shades for the face. These are transition products than can take you from the first peek of spring all the way through the end of summer.

I've been playing around with all seven of the products for about a week now, and I've grown especially fond of Show-Stopper, a shimmery and versatile coppery-shell colored powder eye shadow. Also, the Foxy Bronze bronzer is a true golden brown, without any signs of orange. The collection will be available at Kohl's and online this March. Celebrity Style: Eva Longoria
You would think an actress with free designer duds at her disposal would wear high end to the launch of Samsung's Blackjack II, but down-to-earth Eva Longoria opted for an Armani Exchange Drape Front Dress. I love the rich, bronze hue and her rhinestone spiral sandals. Way to make something so inexpensive (it's on sale for $70!) look so red-carpet chic.
