Fab Ad: Carlos Miele Spring '09
Carlos Miele loves his homeland Brazil so much — can you blame him? — he took his Spring '09 ad campaign, shot by Michael Roberts, on location there. Ipanema Beach and the Dois Irmãos Mountain in Rio de Janeiro served as the most exotic backdrop to the vibrant, silky gowns. "I was inspired by the dance between the woman’s body and Rio’s nature," the designer said. The models Miele chose to capture the essence of Brazil are natives Aline Webber and Emanuela de Paula. The contrast between their skin and hair makes for a magical partnership. And the ethereal dresses? I can't stop drooling. Cue the bossa nova music and it's golden.
Golden Globe Awards: Mary-Louise Parker
Look, we have another lady in beautiful blue. Mary-Louise Parker showed up to the festivities in a strapless blue Carlos Miele gown with asymmetrical tiers cascading down. A chiffon layer completes the bottom portion. Silver jewels and a clutch make up her accessories. What do you all think?

Golden Globe Awards: Isla Fisher
Isla Fisher traded in her favorite red carpet color — emerald — for a rainbow of nudes. Her one-shouldered Carlos Miele asymmetrical gown has a unique crepe detailing to it . . . are you a fan?

Carlos Miele and Jeff Miller for Baleri Italia
Stuffing intricately designed and extremely expensive footwear into a tiny box of a closet has always felt like a crime to us. Apparently Carlos Miele and Jeff Miller feel the same way, along with quite a crowd of well wishers, shoppers, and design fans
Miele's 14th street boutique hosted Jeff Miller's newest design work for Baleri Italia. The sleek rounded and stackable boxes made for perfect shoe display and storage. They beautifully integrated into Miele's current retail aesthetic thanks to their curving comfortable lines. And they made us pay a lot more attention to the shoes which is good for everyone!
