Hello lover! The gauzes and tulles that the feminine master Max Azria sent floating down his runway were captivating; they complement his Spring themes of luminosity and transparency perfectly. The corsetry was refined, the pleated full skirts of the dresses divine. Everything seemed to be belted at the waist (take note!), while loose origami pleating was a favorite embellishment. The grey and beige palette, punctuated with blushes and mustards...puts me in the mood to skip Fall and head straight for Spring! A much more wearable collection than the heavy and disorganized Fall collection, I'm sure the starlet trio in the front row - Ashlee, Brittany Snow, Sophie Bush - will be popping up in these luminous designs.
On a separate note, I have to wonder: Vogue editor Anna Wintour was sitting in front of me at the show. Did she approve as much as I did?
