The sexy hue is ideal for the holiday season and the styles are endless. Strappy, platform, stiletto — you get the picture. On another note, can you think of a better way to make a LBD pop? I didn't think so.

Growing up in a household with five women, Courtney Crawford was well aware of the importance of a luxurious shoe.
After graduating from college in Florida, Courtney pursued his passion for designing shoes at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. There he garnered his talent and connected with some of the most prestigious players in the fashion industry. During his time at FIT, Courtney secured an internship with milliner and shoe designer Eugenia Kim. After only interning a couple of months with Eugenia, he was appointed head shoe designer for her company. The fresh-faced designer also collaborated with Missoni for her 2007 Spring shoe collection.

Courtney Crawford wants his designs to be "repulsively attractive". The St. Louis native is one of the golden 'beautiful people'; an award Paper Mag bestows on New York's movers and shakers. His career is thriving and, in case the quote didn't tip you off, in a somewhat unconventional manner. The Multi Color Pump in Nude, Red, and Black perhaps best symbolizes Crawford's aesthetic, one part trend focused (nude), one part vamp (red piping), and one part unpredictable New Yorker (the heel, baby). So far his designs do not seem to be repulsive in the least (nor is their price point) but alas, something that sexy could also be described as vulgar and then, just a few steps down the road, repulsive. Looks like Crawford has beat the the press to the chase which could mean the designer's in for a long run. Nothing, afterall, spells staying power than a shoe designer who can think on his feet.
