And that's a wrap for New York Fashion Week Fall 2012. We saw some amazing front-row and street ensembles, but now it's time to crown our best dressed. Drumroll please: it's Nylon style editor and star on modeling reality show Scouted Dani Stahl! Not only did she impress us by winterizing white, but her final outfit also took the cake in terms of originality. A pair of houndstooth trousers and gray turtleneck kept Dani super chic, while pops of baby blue and orange lent just the right amount of color. What we're majorly crushing on, though, is her cropped Dolce & Gabbana blazer — it totally feeds into a huge NYFW trend: baby blue. So the next time you're shopping for a blazer, consider adding baby blue into the mix. As you can see, it'll brighten up your ensemble in the most fashion-forward way. And if pairing it with houndstooth is too daring for you, the jacket will look just as fab against a pair of black skinny jeans or a brown leather miniskirt.
Nylon style editor and star of modeling reality show Scouted Dani Stahl provided a very important fashion lesson when she attended the 3.1 Phillip Lim show in NYC: that it's more than OK to wear white in the Winter. Actually, it's highly recommended. All you have to do is layer a brown leather jacket — nonleather will do, too — over any chic white dress, then finish your look off with black tights and peep-toe booties. We are also into the accessory-fanatic's two-tone metallic clutch and major ring candy — turquoise, hot pink, and gold.
We caught up with Nylon's Dani Stahl — in charge of the red carpet collections for Lia Sophia — at the launch of their newest collaboration: Lanaya. Dani fills us in on the vintage-inspired pieces, including her top pick, and current trends in accessories. Check her out below.
