Dress Me Up: Roller Fab

I have taken up a new hobby: roller skating!

I have taken up a new hobby: roller skating! Not too long ago I asked your help in finding a sexy, cute rollerskating outfit for a roller disco party I went to. You did, and here is Roller Fab! With super sore thighs the next day, I went and bought some skates because I was so inspired (the ones I wore were actually YumSugar's!). My fresh skates are white with purple wheels and laces — Fab, no? Shopbop's Retro Fever section got the disco ball and thus the wheels turning for me again, and I couldn't refuse putting together an even more glam roller look.

Dress You Up! T-Shirt Dresses

I saved the most laid back of this Spring's Dress You Up!

I saved the most laid back of this Spring's Dress You Up! for Friday. Seriously, looking at one of these I just want to go to bed, wake up, roll out of bed and get back into bed - they are so comfy looking. Because of this t-shirt dresses are probably best saved for the weekend or if you have a really office casual job. I leave you on a TGIF note with these picks.

I hope you enjoyed Dress You Up! this week, I know I did. Seeing as how dresses are one of the key clothing items for Spring, stay tuned for a Part II in weeks to come.

Dress You Up! Maxi Dresses

Ok so this first model in a serious maxi dress looks like a tree, but that is the effect the longest dress of all can help one achieve.

Ok so this first model in a serious maxi dress looks like a tree, but that is the effect the longest dress of all can help one achieve. I was actually just on a hunt for a maxi dress and ended up scoring an awesome black silk Corey Lynn Calter one. I wore it to Fashion Week Live last month. I gotta tell ya, I stood out (in a good way) amongst all the legs and got several compliments. My analysis: maxi dresses are the next 'It' dress. After all, the only way to go after the mini dress is down, way down. I wore mine with some exotic flats because I am tall; if you're on the shorter side, these look retro redone with a solid pair of wood-heeled wedges.

Dress You Up! Mini Dresses

For those who have legs and know how to use them, this is your time to shine.

For those who have legs and know how to use them, this is your time to shine. You've been living under a rock if you didn't notice that mini dresses are hot hot hot for Spring. This week I'm all about Dress You Up! and getting you all prepared for the dress surplus of the season.

You will notice my picks are solids with details like rosettes, trim, volume and pockets. I think the classiest way to wear a mini is with dignity; keep the pattern simple and modern and let your legs work it. Just my opinion but when sporting a raised hemline, the most stylish way is to be subtly sexy. One of my mottos is: if you've got it, flaunt it. So lucky leggy gals, these are for you.

Dress You Up! Vintage Print Dresses

Skip your morning coffee, or tea, and opt for a fabulous vintage print dress.

Skip your morning coffee, or tea, and opt for a fabulous vintage print dress. Yes, you could also scour vintage shops, I know that's what members of The Vintage Place!! are thinking. But that's a shopping mission and if you're not up to the challenge this Spring has lots and lots of offerings.

Same with trapeze style dresses, you can wear these with a heel or no heel; but if you want to wear it for evening I suggest a heel and some jewels as the vintage prints tend to dress down the dress (pun intended). For those bold gals out there who are all about colorful prints, have fun with these picks.

Stay tuned all week long as I'll be showing you some of the cutest dress styles right now; there will be something for everyone so...Dress You Up!.

Dress You Up! Trapeze Dresses

Just when you thought dresses couldn't get any more comfortable the trapeze dress emerges.

Just when you thought dresses couldn't get any more comfortable the trapeze dress emerges. They surfaced last Fall and are in full force for Spring, with their airy and forgiving silhouette. These are awesome for those with tummy issues and look great with a pair of metallic peep toe flats or cork-heel pumps. To wit, the trapeze can be dressed up or dressed down. And come winter time, just wear one of these with a pair of tights or over some skinnies and you'll still be styley.

Stay tuned all week long as I'll be showing you some of the cutest dress styles right now; there will be something for everyone so get ready for Dress You Up!.
