Love It or Hate It

Pocketflops Foldable Flip Flops: Love It or Hate It?

We live in a busy world, so investing in convenient pieces is a plus.

We live in a busy world, so investing in convenient pieces is a plus. But the trick is to find convenient pieces that don't sacrifice good taste. They're sometimes hard to come by. What do you think: Are these Flock Designs Pocketflop Foldable Flip Flops ($22 each) cute? They come in all sorts of prints and colors — zebra, purple, argyle, paisley — and the fact that they fold in half is way cool. Even cooler, they're made of recycled tire rubber, and the storage bags are made from 100% organic cotton. You can throw one in your bag wherever you go, just in case of any shoe emergencies. Would you get a pair?

Emma Watson Debuts Her Chic Organic Line For People Tree

There are many fashion layers to the fabulous Emma Watson.

There are many fashion layers to the fabulous Emma Watson. Of course, we love her as the face of Burberry, but we also enjoy seeing her eco-conscious side. Since we first announced her collaboration with organic line People Tree, we couldn't wait to see what the British beauty would come up with. Well, the wait is over, and we're officially smitten with her cute collection — modeled by the designer herself — of skinny jeans, striped tops, chic shorts, and flirty frocks. I love the timeless hues of red, gray, white, and blue, and the casual yet refined silhouettes. I can totally see myself rockin' these organic looks, can you?

Designer Spotlight: Sosume

It seems we're not the only ones going back to basics.

It seems we're not the only ones going back to basics. Australian brand Sosume, headed by managing director Alex Trimmer, is right there with us. Airy tees, t-shirt dresses, cotton harems, and layered tanks are what it's serving up for Spring. As for the color palette, black, white, and soft grays all ensure a fashion-forward feel. All Sosume garments are made with organic and natural fabrics in Australia; you'll definitely feel that once you put the clothes on. What's more, three percent of proceeds from each piece is donated to various charities that aid sustainable practices.

Designer Spotlight: Susan Woo

Susan Woo is new in fashion town so let's welcome her.

Susan Woo is new in fashion town so let's welcome her. The designer received her BS in fashion design and business, then put her degree to practice at Louis Vuitton, Derek Lam, and Chanel. Not bad. Because Woo has major love for fashion and the environment, her entire Fall collection is made from 100 percent all-natural and sustainable fabrics — organic wool, cottons, and cashmeres. Yet another example of eco being chic. Both day and evening options range from $345 to $1,250 and are currently available at H Lorenzo and Kaight in NYC.

Fab's 10 Green Day Designers

Earth Day is not over yet.
FabSugar's Top 10 Eco-Friendly Designers

Earth Day is not over yet. . . . As you know, I have been following the green scene for some time and have opinions about who the best eco-friendly designers are. Of course, SF-loving Stella McCartney tops my list, as does the Loomstate for Target collection. Both deliver goods that are earth-friendly and super stylin'. Beau Soleil's Organic One-Shoulder Dress we're giving away is pretty hot, too. There are oodles of other eco-conscious brands that serve up stylish gear that are good to the environment. Check out my top 10.

On Our Radar: Tobi Loves Ugly Boxes

One of my favorite online retailers, Tobi, is making a loud and proud declaration: It loves an ugly box!

One of my favorite online retailers, Tobi, is making a loud and proud declaration: It loves an ugly box! In order to stop adding more waste into the environment, it has decided to start reusing all the boxes it receives on a daily basis. A brand new box may look prettier, but Tobi believes it's what's inside that counts. So next time you order something from the retailer, the box you get may be ugly, but what's inside is going to be anything but.
