The 2008 Golden Globes Red Carpet: Visions in White Various shades of white was one of the major themes on the red carpet last year. From Ellen Pompeo's stark white flowing Versace to Cameron's drop waisted one shoulder number, cool white was certainly hot at the 2008 Golden Globes.
Looking Back: Golden Globe's Best-Dressed Ladies

Since the writers' strike is putting a damper on the Golden Globe's red carpet (sniff), I thought it would be fun to go back and reminisce about the best-dressed ladies of the Globe's red carpet. I selected a few obvious and some not-so-obvious picks. They run the gamut from long to short, bright to dim, dramatic to simple. Enjoy the slideshow and feel free to nominate your favorites!
The One Shoulder Dress: Love It or Hate It?
Not many ladies were sporting this look on the red carpet at the Golden Globes this year. Most women opted instead for more of the Grecian or strapless looks, but Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz and Sheryl Crow all stood out from the crowd in their one shoulder gowns. I am not sure how I feel about this look. What do you guys think?

The Golden Globes Red Carpet: Mad for Metallics
All month we have been telling you that Metallics are hot for Spring and it looks like they were hot for the red carpet as well. Although not as prevalent as white or Grecian, there were plenty of ladies glittering in gold, silver, bronze and platinum.

The Golden Globes Red Carpet: Visions in White
Various shades of white was one of the major themes on the red carpet last night. From Ellen Pompeo's stark white flowing Versace to Cameron's drop waisted one shoulder number, cool white was certainly hot at the Golden Globes. Get used to seeing this seemingly simple color - it was a major player for Spring 2007.

The Golden Globes Red Carpet: America Ferrera
Crowd favorite America Ferrera showed up on the red carpet looking happy and excited in her Brian Reyes dress. I think she looks great, what do you think?

The Golden Globes Red Carpet: Renee Zellweger
Renee Zellweger is rocking her signature classic Hollywood look in this beautiful emerald green cocktail dress. I think she looks fabulous, but why is she always making such funny faces? What do you guys think?

The Golden Globes Red Carpet: Kate Winslet
The Grecian and creamsicle themes are totally dominating on the red carpet tonight. Here is Kate Winslet looking pretty, but just kind of plain in her Azzaro gown. What do you think?

The Golden Globes Red Carpet: Evangeline Lilly
I never noticed how teeny this Lost star is! She looks very petite but very happy in her wraparound Versace gown. We have thus far seen so much Grecian draping it's making me dizzy, but this gown has some punch. What do you all think?

The Golden Globes Red Carpet: Cameron Diaz
Oh Cameron - you never let us down! Here is one of our favorite gals looking stunning as always. She too has chosen the one shoulder look and it certainly flatters her long neck and slim biceps! And check out all her ice. I love the multiple rings, makes her a little bad ass.
