Nicky Hilton always proves how easy it is to look chic while running errands. She made her way around LA in a heather gray David Lerner shoulder zip sweatshirt and slouchy distressed jeans and accessorized with mirrored aviators, an amazing Alexander Wag Rocco duffle bag, and a silver spike tennis bracelet from her Nicky Hilton jewelry collection. Kristin Cavallari arrived in Toronto to present at the 2010 Much Music Video Awards wearing an uncharacteristically casual ensemble. She put comfort first, wearing black leggings with Havaianas Brazil flip flops, a white tank, uneven hemmed v-neck sweater, and gold Ray-Ban sunglasses, adding a red tie-dye scarf for a pop of color and style. Once upon a vacation, I was rushing to get back to my room from the lobby. It was dark, I was being attacked by mosquitoes, and needed cover ASAP. Everyone removed their flip-flops and sandals at the entrance, so there were always lonely mates waiting for their owners. I slipped on some flip-flops and raced to my bungalow. The next morning I realized I grabbed the wrong flips. I put them back, but then they sat there for days. Luckily, I found mine. I felt bad. This all could have been prevented had my flip-flops had solar energy and glowed in the dark. I present to you Havaianas "Cool" glow-in-the-dark flip-flops ($28). May each traveler be reunited with their loyal flips.
Since Valentine's Day is smack in the middle of Fashion Week this year, I gave myself a little treat. Havaianas, the cheap flip flops from Brazil was all know and love, and sponsor of FW, offered to customize a pair of Havianas and I thought, um fun! You could customize the straps with initials, studs, or Swarovski crystals in different colors. You know me, I went for the sparkle. I chose pink to remind me of getting them done on V Day. I quite like the pewter color and skyscraper imagery as a canvas for the sparkly pink. Do you love them as much as I do?
Rachel Bilson looks mighty dressed up for a grocery store outing (well, aside from the Havaianas). The actress threw on See by Chloe's silk printed dress, but maintained ease with flip-flops. She left her green Chanel shades behind and opted for a pair of brown Ray Ban Wayfarers. No other accessories — except for a bag — are in sight. It makes sense considering she's walking the streets and not the red carpet.

Flip-flop junkies unite! Havaianas.com is the site to check out for any rubber flopping connoisseur. Most of the time, I find flip-flops to be made and designed poorly. Havaianas, on the contrary, take their casual footwear seriously. They've been around since the 1960s and even boast a top-secret rubber recipe. Their redesigned site offers an easy shopping experience and amazing selection of flip-flops ranging from a jeweled encrusted limited edition collection to everyday basics. There's even a live IM chat feature, which allows you to ask questions or get help. Who'd ever thought shopping for rubber flip-flops could be so much fun?
