Van Cleef and Arpels is suing supermodel Heidi Klum's company, claiming that her Heidi Klum Jewelry Collection copied their vintage Alhambra clover design. The suit, filed in Manhattan on December 21, seeks more than $25,000 in damages for attempting to benefit from Van Cleef's reputation.
Heidi has called the clover design under question her favorite symbol of good fortune: "I hope the pieces are true good-luck charms for the women who wear them."

In case all the clover jewelry Heidi Klum has been wearing lately didn't give it away, the supermodel has a year-old bling collection called Heidi Klum Collection. The clover necklace she wore to the jewelry presentation in Berlin in September is beautiful and sort of resembles the most expensive clovers of all: Van Cleef & Arpels designs. Heidi Klum is looking as beautiful as ever on The Early Show this week and don't you love her earrings?
Her earrings are from her jewelry line, The Heidi Klum Collection, made by Mouawad. According to the Mouawad website:
The collection was inspired by one of Heidi's visits to Italy during which she was intrigued by a clover-patterned marble inlay at the Duomo in Milan. Heidi envisioned the clover as an adornment piece and expressed her desire to incorporate the symbol into the design of a jewelry line. "I think it's beautiful as a woman to have a good luck charm that you can keep with you...that someone can give to you. It's sweet and meaningful," says Heidi. The collection is for the fashion-conscious woman whose taste in jewelry is timeless and elegant, much like Heidi's own style and beauty.
