Many have been on the fence about this trend, but if you haven't embraced it yet, Fab friends, it is time to get High & Waisted. I am a fan of the high waist - it can really accentuate a woman's figure - but I don't like overly dramatic high waists. A more conservative version for me please. Come Spring, there's high waists galore so hopefully you'll find your niche. Inquiring fashionista minds want to know where to get stylish and flattering high-waisted denim skirts like the one Isabell wore in her California cool Look of the Day. High-waisted denim skirts are great for Summer because they: a) reflect the high-waisted trend, and b) they keep your legs cool in the sun. They go great with just about every shoe, especially gladiators, semi-flat sandals and sky-high Mary Janes. Come Fall, you can even wear them with some textured tights. So all together now, let's get high...waisted, that is!

Looks like Nicole has been hanging out with Mischa lately because she's adopted Mischa's new signature style: high-waisted. I am in love with this entire outfit; everything from her vintage Yves Saint Laurent shades down to her nude Loubs. And though I normally prefer Nicole's hair in a bob, the extensions and dark roots reinforce her badass-yet-girly look.

The 70s are back! What with wide legged jeans in full force and now high-waisted jeans, it is clear the skinny and low rise have competition. I am elated - you all know by now I have a thing for the carefree styles of the dazed & confused decade. While the high waist was around long before the 70s, try the 50s, it was given sex appeal in the decade of disco. I prefer this look worn with a wide leg, it just complements any body way better. Either way, if you've got the feelin' go for it!

Mischa Barton sure does love clothes! I appreciate how she takes risks and seems to always be one step ahead of the fashion curve, and this outfit is no different. Her high waisted jeans and yellow top are getting me pumped for Spring. It's just too bad we have to (officially) wait until March 21st!

I know there are mixed feelings about the high waist trend. I have a feeling about 50% of you will love it, and about 50% will hate it. As for those who are on the fence, here is an example of the high waist via skirt. Eugiebird wears it with the help of a thick corset belt, which is definitely a sexy way to go.
